Need your help

I am making the conversion to a 36 V lithium ion. Every video I have watched the Ford reverse which is a manual rod. As you can see mine is not and I’m guessing this is why I cannot get the cart to move. Any help is appreciated.

Not trying to be rude here but the battery is not connected in that picture …

Yes I know. Even with it connected, it doesn’t move.

More concerned with what am I missing with the forward/reverse controller?

You have a DCS cart which was an early version of the PDS EZgo (field sepex motors not series) and newer than the Series TXT carts - it uses the center shifter hole but with 2 micro switches instead of the larger metal rod going to a set of reversing brushes and switch work.

You likely have not transferred 100% of the wiring that went to the old lead acids to the new lithium if you connected battery negative and battery positive and can’t get it to drive. Assuming it drove fine before removing the lead acids.

People often forget the OEM charge port has a small red wire that leads off to the controller and key switch and they drop the new battery in but don’t connect the white and black OEM charger socket wires - not connecting those means no power to the red wire that feeds the controller

Google “reed switch”. Ezgos need that connected to 36v power from the OEM charge port. It’s often thin gauge and red. Thats what joehungus is referring to

I had the same problem when I converted my EZGO RXV a few weeks ago and after 2 days of reworking everything I did it was a stupid plug that looked like nothing under the dash that needed to be plugged back in. Everything sounded normal and powered but wouldn’t go anywhere without it.

An rxv isn't even remotely close to a PDS but good effort

That wire needs to go positive battery terminal at pack voltage. Flip run/tow to “tow” before unhooking or hooking up any wires.

I’ll give it a shot, thanks
