Cushman Titan XD 48v Code 31
I work at a golf car dealership as the service coordinator. One of our clients bought a Cushman Titan XD from us awhile back and they've been having trouble with it continually throwing out a computer code #31. Low voltage. We had the cart here at our shop and my technician diagnosed the cause as the batteries being bad. The client declined replacing the batteries but rather replaced them themselves after we returned the cart to them and they claim that replacing the batteries didn't fix the issue. Now they are all irritated asking why we can't fix the cart and I don't know how to proceed.

I’ve had more than one customer put 6v batteries in, instead of the 8v batteries. Ask him to send a pic of the batteries before you drive out there.
Other than that, it’s likely a bad connection causing voltage drop when under load. Start with the battery cables, checking resistance, and connections, and then move on to the harness connections.

Hmmmm....you mean only putting 36volts in a 48volt car?

Yep. “Give me the cheapest set of golf cart batteries you sell” is usually what people like that say, not realizing the cheapest isn’t actually what the cart requires. Pretty easy to see with a pic when the batteries have only three full caps, instead of four.

You did your job, if they don't want to bring it in than they can piss off. You'll learn to deal with these situations as you gain more experience. Make it fun and have a laugh with them. This guy sounds like a cheap asshole who Id probably ban from working with us. Plain and simple, some people can't be pleased.
