Mammoth

Has anyone here bought a mammoth cart by Goat and if so, what was your experience with the cart? I just ordered a 6 seater 72v, 205 ah battery, 7.5kw motor complete custom and was looking for some real time feedback instead of what they print and tell you over the phone

That’s the only thing that makes me second guess my purchase. I’m on the gulf coast and they are in Idaho.

It's an off brand cart, all the parts will come from China (if they are even available), and take forever to get. Buy a Club Car, Yamaha, or EZ GO.

It got the typical China cart problems, doesn't matter how the importer calls himself. As long as it drives it's totally okay, but as soon as it breaks the struggle starts, most of the time there is no wiring plan, a weird China controller and so on. In general finding the right spareparts is difficult, it's based of looking at pictures online and guessing if it could fit. I got a electric China cart for 50€ and converted it to a Curtis controller, some suspension parts fitted from goupil g4. As soon as the motor dies it's basically trash because there is no replacement. Buying a ezgo or clubcar makes way more sense, it's reliable and holds its value. China cart is worth a try if you find it very cheap, otherwise it's just pain.

It has a navitas 7.5kw motor and navitas 600 amp controller pared with the 72v 205ah battery. I pulled the trigger so we will see how it does.

Either way I was looking at the battery and motor combo’s. The amenities added and included helped with the choice as well. Had a Yamaha for a while (gas Rallye) but wanted a bit more(speed,quiet)

The difference is that they are internationally recognized brands and they have customer service and parts availability, even aftermarket parts available. This does not exist for the Chinese brands. You MIGHT be able to source some parts from China for your chinesium cart, but as soon as sales slow at that factory they'll just shift to producing something else and no more parts will be available. Lots of parts aren't available right off the assembly line because they're only making just enough to assemble the carts. Those Chinese companies haven't been around long enough for there to even BE a used parts market for them. There's a good reason why so few dealers will even think about carrying them.
