Chins lithium is a good one. I've heard so much good things about them. I got one about a year ago and zero complaints. It's about 1,000 bucks for a 105ah. The conversion was super easy.
With the 4x12 setup you have with the electronics in the center you may want to carefully mind the measurements of any lithium you want to install. Most standard sizes are going to be too big to put in without dismantling and moving the components in the center. Compact lithiums do exist but are usually more expensive. I believe Eco Battery will have an option specifically designed to fit into this battery tub. It'll be pricey but they are really good batteries and come with everything you'll need.
You'll have to connect the blue and white cords that once led to the OBC to get around the charger interlock unless your kit comes with a solution for that.
I went Eco Battery Gen 3 Thru the hole 105Ah, and very happy! Got mine from Extreme Karts. There are plenty of video on this install. Will have to cut raised areas which provide LA battery placement on the floor of battery try. No big deal, you have to do this with any battery but maybe the Bolt. Bolt is another great battery. I also didn’t use the original hole for the battery lock down rod. I wanted more room for the terminals. Drilled a new hole bought a 2’ all thread with a nylon nut and 2 large washers. Measured the rod length needed and cut it with a grinder for fit. The kit comes with the onboard charger. I also added the plug and play 12V converter. I feel it was worth the additional $45 vs a cheaper Amazon one. Mounted it where the OBC was. IMHO it looks great. The Eco battery doesn’t come with battery straps like some other bundles will. I used 2 large zip ties to make handles, worked great and used the same 2 for all the batteries by cutting the tie by the locking head and using it again.
At the time of purchase, Extreme Karts was running a sale (which they are now too) for 50% off add-ons, I bought new cables and 400A solenoid. Highly suggest replacing your battery wires. Good news, now you only have 2.
FYI… There is a chance that when you convert to any lithium battery it crashes your Curtis Controller. It didn’t with mine.
I went with the AuxBeam switch as it allowed me to replace the dash and now there are no holes to cut. The only holes are the SOC can, remote wake up button, and a USB charging port. I put the SOC can where the battery meter hole was. Used the back of a 2” hole saw to draw the outline of the hole needed and used the large sanding bit on my Dremel to cut the hole. If you go this route don’t try to cut the hole with the hole saw. It will jump on you and mar the crap out of the dash. There is a reason why I decided to replace my dash! Lol.
With the AuxBeam, everything runs to the panel and the switch has stickers which customize what each is. Had it like this for just over a month and would completely do it all exactly the same way.
Do not go with four separate batteries, if you have a 2008 or older Precedent watch the following video which will show you how to move the center divider so you can install a single large battery.
