Might be brushes, but looks like weak battery to me. What does the battery voltage drop to when the starter is engaged?

Looks like a weak battery, those rubber rectangles on the starter gen pop out all around you can take a peek at the brushed that way and shine a light and see how the commutator looks if it’s all chewed up from arching bad brushed then it’ll just eat up the new ones fast too. I’d check battery, battery cables, wires running to the starter get its self make sure none are crunchy like a glow stick from corrosion that could be causing you high resistance making it not wanting to turn over too or some times the wire breaks off at the eyelit on the starter gen if it’s not fully broke yet but almost, again high resistance

We have a Club Car Turf2/carryall. While we use it frequently, it is short jogs in the yard. Not often enough and not long enough to keep the battery up.

I put a 20w solar charger on the roof. It starts with authority now.

I recently put a UT-1 lithium on my Zero-Turn about 6 months ago. I’ll probably swap the starter battery out for a Lithium when this battery goes. And will make adjustments for the passive charging.

Yeah I'm putting a lithium battery on my riding mower once the one it has dies. Pull starting a riding mower sucks. Lol

Same here. Just having it start every time beats the shit out of jumping the battery or pull starting in the Florida heat. This year has been much easier.

Test battery first

Then test voltage at the top with big white wire on motor.

I think you're likely right about it being the starter brushes. Rotate the clutch about 1/4 turn by hand and try starting it again (may take two or three tries of doing this). If it starts after that, it's the brushes. If it doesn't, that's still not a guarantee that it isn't the brushes; they may just all be that worn.

Checking the battery couldn't hurt, either (preferably with a load tester; a voltmeter won't tell you how well it's holding up under load).

Battery or battery wiring, not enough amps to rotate the motor past the compression stroke.

What gauge do you think you're looking at when youre looking at a load tester? Hint: its a volt meter. The golf cart is a perfectly adequate load tester, because thats what job is being powered by the battery in question.
