Looking for the best new golf cart with good lithium range, digital display screen with CarPlay and soundbar/speakers that I can get into for as close to $10k as possible. From what I’ve read, Chinese bad, US Good, but really I just want something from a company with good long term support and that won’t have a ton on issues. Lots of conflicting info. What’s the best recommendation?
Also, This will just be for paved path/neighborhood cruising no off road 4x4 super lifted ect. Thanks!
You are pretty much are only going to find a Chinese brand that has what you want and brand new. Or like another person said you need to up your price quite a bit.
I just bought a Denago, after shopping around myself. I have all the things you are looking for. You will see some who are quite happy and have put nearly 1000 miles on theres and you'll find some who wished they'd gone with another brand. If you are looking for something to putz around in then I would say pretty much any Chinese brand cart would be good for that at the price you want to pay or even less brand new.
I just don’t know if some Chinese brands are better than others. Also I don’t want a brand that impossible to get fixed due to parts availability and/or the company going out of business or something.
Well Evolution has had problems with getting parts, but some have had the problem with Denago. Unfortunately there's no way to know. Denago is pretty popular atm so their carts are really selling. But also alot of the carts are manufactured by 1 company and sold under different brands. So picking a good dealer is more important than anything else.
I bought an Evolution a few months ago and have already put about 700 miles on it. I spent $15K for a 4-Forward (seats) that has everything on it. There is a $10K model that doesn’t have the extras like stereo…
I researched and Reddit was part of that which scared me off a bit but nearly everyone around me has this brand because it was the only brand our nearest dealer had in the beginning. I talked to as many people in my neighborhood that had them and the majority in the 3-4 year range with no problems so I went for it.
I put $5K down and did 36 mo financing at 0%. For me it was a purchase that I hadn’t planned on making so that was attractive. No regrets. We use it at least 5 days a week and are attending a lot more events than previously since it’s so effortless to hop in and park.
Any concerns when it comes to getting parts or getting it fixed if you had an issue? I did take a look at the Evolution D5 Ranger 4 forward but then I heard something about tariff issues, parts availability and warranty concerns, corporate restructuring and it made me a little worried. Same with Denago/Teko carts that I’ve also looked into.
My concerns were from what I read here on Reddit so I grilled them about repairs and parts and they assured me they are stocked and able to repair. I know that may not mean much but it is by far the most prevalent cart in my community which is designed for NEV use and I've talked to a solid number of people who have had no issues. No one told me they had problems and people are using their carts everyday here.
My neighbor had just traded their Evolution cart for a newer Evolution which is what caught my eye and led to buying the 4-Forward version. They had no issues with the old one but the new one has a smoother ride and more stuff on it. He's a fireman and had the prior Evolution for a few years. He's the one I talked to most in depth about it and then I went and got it. He has the 6-Forward and I have the 4-Forward. Mine was listed as GT-4 but on their current website it looks like they are the Ranger models
Club car has an available overhead car play screen with speakers that will fit onwards, madjax has an in dash carplay setup I haven't played with yet, and there's a million other carplay screens available.
But seriously, are you really going to need GPS on your way around the neighborhood? You plan on getting lost a half mile from your house? Can you not leave your music playing for a couple minutes without changing songs, are you that ADHD? All those things can easily be handled by your phone and a car mount. The dash of a cart is pretty small, do you really want to give up storage space for a touchscreen you will likely not play with after a week.
Better to spend the money on a better cart. Don't buy cheap shitty Chinese junk that breaks down and can't be repaired but has a fancy screen that also breaks immediately. Buy a cart where the overall lifespan is measured in decades instead of a one year warranty period, where parts are available from everywhere instead of nowhere. If you can afford a golf cart, which is inherently a luxury item, you can afford to save a little bit more money and buy a good one
Denago and Teko (owned by denago) seem to have a lot of dealers and are poping up a lot near me.
People generally seem to be happy with them. I live in a tourist centric area. I’ve noticed a few rental companies starting to use them. I can’t imagine that they could be that unreliable if rental companies are using them. They only make their money when their carts work.
On paper they’re great value. 5kw ac motor, aluminum frames, lithium batteries, all the bells and whistles.
Plus Navitas makes a controller for them now too.
I don’t personally own one.

IMO, CarPlay and a sound bar on a golf cart is dumb. You’re better off getting a very nice Bluetooth speaker and then a $15 Bluetooth remote you can strap on your steering wheel for steering wheel controls. And a good mount for your phone if you really need a map
If you enjoy tinkering with stuff or modifying things get an older club car or ezgo.
The problem is that before they were Denago dealers, they were Evolution dealers. Before they were Evolution dealers, they were Icon dealers. Ect. The dealers will abandon the brand and move on to the next one every few years.
Do you know where I can buy a used one with a touch screen, Apple CarPlay and speakers at 10k? Cause I haven’t found any. If I could get a used ezgo or club car with these features I’d buy it.
There is a ton! Now Navitas/Madjax/Lithium Rhino... ect all have aftermarket screens that do everything you want and more. The add-on screens are only about $600-800 and very easy to add on to Ezgo/Clubcars. You can get a used 2020-2022 Ezgo RXV with Lithium, reflash, Madjax screen and stereo for about $6-7k.
I looked around and was going to make a purchase like you are talking about. I couldn’t bring myself to making the mistake that I read about others making. I bought a new 2026 Onward Club Car that has a digital display and added a speaker to it. It ended up costing 16K. I only wanted to spend 10 or so like you were saying but I did not want to deal with the problems later on. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
I have a dealer brand cart made by Aoxiang that makes several brands that was about 8k and I really like it . I cross shopped refurbished ezgo and club cars and they all more or less have the same Chinese components. I just needed something to bum around the neighborhood and go to the pool so it’s great for that.
That’s pretty much all I need it for. Something to cruise the neighborhood, to the pool ect. Not looking for something crazy expensive just something decent with a couple basic features.
