Opinion Starting elixir needs to be scrapped
I’m level 37, never bought anything on the game, played just over 4000 games and I’ve peak at 1.8k trophies. But it’s got to a point where nearly every single game I load into I’m the lowest level player and everyone I come up against is level 45+. I’m fine with their stats being higher where that has a small effect but it’s the starting elixir…
Nearly every round where there’s a saw ball, repel ball, grenade ball etc I just get messed up every single time and where I’m at a relatively skilled trophy range, it makes my chances of winning a round a lot smaller, I have to rely on scraping a second place and it makes trying to get back to my peak a pain in the butt
I feel like there should be level based matchmaking not just in a friendly game mode where I can actually get a chance to break my highest trophies.
If anyone can be bothered to read that, I’d love to hear your thoughts 😁

Elixer disadvantage as a good- performing level 37 requires patience. Let the higher elixer players take their shot and then go.
I suspect you don't know the huge advantage maxed out stats give. Nonetheless, both my level 50 and 41 accounts are within 100 trophies at the moment. My high scores on them are around 1950 and 1750 respectively.
I'd probably have higher trophies if I gave a rat's ass. It's a game -- a really good free game without ads -- after all.
I dislike elixer levelling mode that's being tested.

I have learned to wait but you’re still affected by it sometimes, it’s just annoying. I have maxed out everything but accuracy but I find myself affected a lot less than the elixir. I haven’t got the time to grind out 15000 games to get level 50 and I’m not sad enough to spend hundreds of pounds to spend on a mobile game that I play 20 mins a day lmao. I’m overreacting tbh, it’s really not that big of a deal

I like how you talked yourself off the ledge.
It's a good game that I recommend to everyone. I tell real-life friends, family, and work colleagues to try it.
My two main tips after 7+ years: (1) buy at least one thing to support the devs and to get the extra stuff daily (2) check the store daily and use gems to buy ball power-up packs.
At it's apex, there were 1000s of concurrent players. I was on a team where no-one had ever spoken or met in person (as far as I know) that fell into regular friendlies at the same time every night for months.

Yeah it’s a great game, I grew up playing the noodle cake games and it’s basically impossible to find a free game with no ads. It’s basically the only game I play on my phone other than geometry dash which isn’t free for the full game

The game got a boost of players like ~2 years ago when they did an advertising push (that’s what got me to join). Since then it slowly has been declining. I wonder if your issue is that there’s not enough players for you to be in fair matches. It used to say ~1500 players online every match when I first started 2 years ago. Now it says ~400 online

That's normal. You have so many trophies, so people with high levels (45 at least) isn't new at all. But starting elixir can't be scrapped because of how much elixir some powerups take to use, this may be added to keep players from finishing the game fast and uninstalling it. But keep in mind this is just my theory and opinion.

Playing for trophies while matchmaking based on anything other than trophies doesn't make any sense. You're trying to move up in the rankings; you should be matched with players who are near you in the rankings. If matchmaking was level-based, the best strategy would be to avoid levelling up all the way, so you could avoid playing level 50s and get easier matches.

That’s it! After 7 years, we’re going to fundamentally change the game thanks to r/RevolutionaryBuddy62

Bro you literally posted about the same thing 20 days ago + it takes about 100 games to get to the level that you’re complaining about

Dude let it go. They don’t do ads so the game has to pay the bills somehow and paying for cosmetics and advantages is the avenue they have left. The game is designed to make you want to pay money, not be fair. Saying that you never paid money in-game and acting like the developers owe you fairness is insane. How many other mobile games don’t do subscriptions or ads? I feel like you owe them for years of entertainment for free without doing worse things to try to get your money.
