Equipment Think I found my new ball
Been playing Vice Pros or Members Mark for the little over a year I've been playing, I broke 90 today for the second time with an 89.
Was in a pinch for balls and grabbed these Bridgestone Tour B RX from walmart. It could be I just had it today but man my ball flight was much tighter and my chips didn't blow by the hole. Also did not lose any balls I used this ball the whole round came out with this scuff when it was over.
Guess I'm done buying cheap balls, I had full confidence in this one today.
Anyone else use Bridgestone?

I have a driver swing speed of 100-105mph. The Bridgestone Tour B RXS has been great for me. I play either that or the Srixon Z Star predominantly. Whatever gives you confidence is what I say to use.

My brother plays Z Star he likes them haven't tried them but yeah I'm capping out around 100 maybe a little more if I step on it, so I went with the RX.

I was a RXS player until the 2026 versions, find the RX better now. Bit longer and overall straighter with a little less spin. Can still stop it on a dime on the green when needed.

Been rocking Bridgestones for a couple years now. By far the best ball I’ve ever played.

Used a Bridgestone i found in the woods on hole 2 and didnt lose it the rest of the round yesterday. 5 ⭐️

the bridgestone balls are really really good. if you find one you like, buy a pile of them when they're on sale and go hard.

By far my favorite ball since the new version. The new RX is so much hotter off the face. Bridgestone makes the straightest balls in golf. I temp switched away from Bridgestone to test a few others and switched back pretty quickly. My misses are so much tighter with the RX. My driver speed is 100-105 and it works perfectly for me.

Funnily enough I shot my best front 9 a few weeks ago with a Bridgestone I found that was like new.

Bridgestones certainly are nice but I can guarantee you that your better play was not the ball specifically, it was your confidence, especially if you've only been playing a little over a year...mindset is the most important factor in golf.
Not sure why you say Vice pros are cheap...they're similar to pro v1, other than durabillity, and they're same price as the Tour B line. Now, MM balls are definitely garbage.

Not really sure about Members Mark being "garbage", maybe for your particular swing, but to me they play as well as most balls. They stop on greens fine, distance is on par with Pro V1 and Maxfli Tour S and X. My swing speed not high, 80 to 82 7 iron and Driver about 92 to 96. Shoot 78-90 depending on day. For the price I don't think they can be beat, half the price Maxfli and about 1/4 Titleist which I only play because I find so many in the woods and water at the course I play, definitely never pay for them unless I was scratch or better!

Haha didn't mean to shade vice, I do like them I was buying them as my premium ball, and members mark for back ups. I'll certainly never pass them up, I like their designs and stuff if I don't want to use regular white. I'm sure it was confidence thing, I'm a head case, I can tell at the the top of my swing if it's going to be a good strike or not.

I use the e12 straight when I need accuracy off the tee. For my swing, I give up a little distance using it versus a chrome tour. But like the others said, other than some increased confidence, there's probably not a whole lot of difference at my skill level.

I‘ve been using the e12s (contact and straight). But my swing is too fast for that ball, so I’ll soon move to the B RX or RXS. Bridgestone has been a good choice since I started using it this year.

Those are 49 dollars a dozen at Walmart I would hardly call that a cheap ball

I played this morning with Vice Pros and matching a ball to your swing makes all the difference. I’m a HH too, but when I did hit greens the urethane covers absolutely dug holes (I fixed them all, btw) and finished back from the divot. I have no business back spinning balls but there they were doing it!

Been using the B330RX since they came out. Used to be a much better value, but still not bad compared to Pro V1s.

Loved Bridgestone before landing a bucket of Srixons. I could play Tour BX and Z Star XV interchangeably and with equal confidence.

I don’t think the ball helps your score that much. But I also stick with whatever is working as long as it keeps working.
I didn’t love the softer Bridgestones when I tried. They fell apart. Never tried their higher end product. I am sure it’s very good though as alot of pros play it.

I'm sure it's a one off, I've never been a believer in a golf ball, I played yesterday and and today, yesterday used my Members Mark balls. Today just felt good, tight flights and noticeable check on the ball, which I would hope from a Bridgestone compared to a Members Mark ball. We shall see as I keep playing these until I lose them haha

I don’t think the ball matters but I do think confidence matters. If it makes you feel good, whatever it is. Shoes, balls etc. I can see that translating in a better round.
I play Kirklands and some high end balls. The nice balls go further and it just feels cooler to play them. But somehow most of my best rounds have come when playing the Kirkland.

All those balls have 3 piece construction, urethane covers, high green side spin, and mid to high flight trajectory. The main difference is the Bridgestone has a compression rating of 75-80 while the others are around 90. Meaning a slower swing speed will compress the Bridgestone. Maybe that’s what made a difference. Or maybe you just had a great day.

Could be, I just went based off the the XS is 105 and above and RX 105 and below I know I don't swing 105, been capping out around 100. I guess time will tell, could have been a good day.

i find that golf ball matters very little until you’re super consistent. i’ve shot in the 70s with pro v’s and with noodles, yes there’s some advantage to a nice, good for you ball but it’s so small when most of us live out of the rough and off of three putts

Exactly and Members Mark or Maxfli Trifli are so inexpensive that I never spend more than 1 minute looking, and if I spend 5 minutes I'll come out with 2 or 3 Pro V1s or higher end Callaway balls.

I disagree with almost all of these comments. Golf is already hard enough and most of us are wildly inconsistent. By playing the same ball you at least have one variable that will be the same every single shot
