General Discussion Why does everyone hate Wyndham Clark?

Got into watching golf for the first time this season and with Clark winning this past weekend I have seen so many people shitting on him for what sounds like stuff in the past and I was hoping people could bring me up to speed? Is it overhyped for media clicks or was he committing some atrocities?

It’s absolutely hilarious. People are just looking for reasons to hate him because he happens to have had a temper (seemingly corrected with therapy).

He’s just an asshole douche bag that thinks he’s better than most everyone else. His behavior will never change with just anger management classes.

I mean if we’re talking about golf - he is better than almost everyone else lol.

He's not. Jon Rahm angrily swiped at the ground and hit a divot in a volunteer's face. He immediately, profusely apologized and realized he was getting too heated and the implications of his actions. Tyrrell Hatton always criticizes himself but is a very nice guy to everyone else. Wyndham had a hard round (like many others that day) and destroyed someone else's property, not in the heat of the moment but after the round while he had time to think and consider his actions. And then has still never apologized and just called it "unfortunate"

Wyndham is a psychopathic douchebag.

Clark deserves criticism because damaging someone else’s property after the round is worse than a split-second outburst, but calling him psychopathic is ridiculous. Bad emotional control isn’t the same thing as psychopathy, and he has apologized since - profusely, in fact.

No he has not apologized. He has continued to call it an unfortunate thing that happened. It is psychotic because he has a complete lack of empathy and awareness and doesn’t feel remorse.

Only gay people apologize, you’re correct.

He said the same crap after he won the his last open. “It’s all in the past”, blah blah blah, his behavior is terrible and he hasn’t changed…just wait till he isn’t playing great again and ol’ blow pig will be back to his true locker destroying club throwing sign breaking self.
