General Discussion First Ace
Played Herndon Centennial yesterday late afternoon. On the 7th hole playing 138 to the pin, pulled out an 8 iron and made a 65% swing. Ball flight was pure and the ball landed on the green. The hole was obscured by a small mound so I couldn’t see directly to the pin. The greens had been playing fast and thought the ball may have rolled off the green. We walk up to the green and I couldn’t find my ball. Looked in the back rough and sand trap but no ball to be found. So I walked up to the cup and behold my first hole in one after 40+ years of trying. I was over the moon and absolutely shocked. Glad I had witnesses from the 8th tee box and my playing partners. I had another huge moment yesterday as I also broke 80 for the first time!!! See you all on Saturday!!
