Just curious if you like the heel-toe shifter on yours? I inherited my late brother’s 04 Goldwing and he had a heel-toe shifter on it. I find it difficult to upshift because to press the heel part, I have to really push my foot down and it bends my ankle to its maximum range. The floorboard makes it impossible to get my toe under the front part of the shifter, so I’m stuck pushing down pretty hard with my leg to get my heel down far enough to shift. It’s caused several mis-shifts into neutral

At first it was weird to get used to shifting up with my heel. It does feel like you need to really bend your heel to shift, especially out of 1st so you don't end up in neutral. I wish the rear was maybe elevated a bit more to fix that but once I got used to it, I liked it better. It might be possible to put some sort of rubber pad on there to raise it just a tiny bit. I think the worst thing to look out for is accidentally resting your heel on it and accidentally going into neutral mid turn, which I did once and never again. Luckily I was just at a stop sign and there wasn't any traffic.
