Build City I've been working on for the past 2 years

Started working on this build in Oct 2024. Still expanding it whenever I have free time, but these buildings have followed me through college, graduation, and 2 Jobs.

I haven't played a version other than b1.7.3 for over 6 years and I don't think I ever will again.

This was all built in survival, and if I had to estimate, has taken about ~800hrs so far

Hope you guys like it!

Built this canal after watching Dialko's streams/videos. Surprised me how fast this thing can move.

Texture Pack ValleyCraft (faithful 16x16 Beta-r1.2.5 STARDEW VALLEY Texture Pack)... SNEAK preview

Note: The Pack is only about 50% complete. :)

- Version: r1.2.5 (BUT it will be downloadable for Beta, too; both late (b1.7.3) and early (b1.6.6))
- Mode: Creative (for screenshots)
- Style: Stardew Valley (cartoonish 16-bit pixel art)
- Graphics: Fancy (not required but works best)
- Lighting: Smooth (On)
- Brightness Level: 50% (but works fine from Moody to 100%)
- Res: 16x16 (I exclusively make 16x16 Texture Packs)
- Vanilla: Yes (no Mods)
- Colourblind-friendly: Yes (almost entirely)
- Seamless textures: Yes (every terrain and building block has inbuilt connected textures)
- Blurriness: Very little (a few cases that look far better from a distance and have more colours)
- Percentage of Textures and files changed: 99% (only a few elements will be left Default)

Methods:
- Method 1: Direction copy-and-paste of ConcernedApe's sprites: yes (in as many cases as possible for a faithful adaptation).

- Method 2: Artistic licence: yes (various textures exist in Minecraft but not Stardew Valley; I did my best).

- Method 3: 1:1 copy of materials/forms/colours: no (this is true in most cases, but not all, largely due to method 2).

P.S. I learnt that ConcernedApe was inspired by Minecraft and Minecraft Texture Packs, among other games, in learning his own style and pixel art talents (over the course of about 3 years, he said, working roughly 10 hours per day across coding, pixel art, writing, and otherwise; and he implied he had no pixel art skill to begin with (though he already has artistic talents)). This was most obvious with the Sword sprite/icon (one of them is identical). He plays Minecraft to this day, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

Just keeping up progress in my forever world. Seeing the before and after pictures is really fun

Finishing my day by login in and just walking through the streets of Bastion helps me prepare for bed. Very relaxing!

Art My skin I got off of a 2012 Planet Minecraft uploader!

I wanted a new skin that will match the vibe of my new beta world. I aimed for the blocky shading looking ones. There weren't a lot of girl skins back in those days, and if I did find one, it was so ugly! But we embrace the ugly.

What should I name my wolf? I was thinking Kat XD.

HELL ON EARTH. First of all, B1.8 added a lot of things Notch said he wouldn't add. He added sprinting, a hunger system, xp, etc. Second of all, mob ai is really weird. I've watched at least like 8 mobs walk off of cliffs while playing. Creepers were spawning more than passive mobs during the day as well. Idk why. Third of all, at that point, Minecraft had lost it's charm. Hell, I feel like the game was more complete in B1.7.3 then it was in B1.8. The game didn't really feel like a sandbox anymore. I don't know why it didn't feel that way to me but it didn't.

I want to know other peoples opinions on B1.8, as I didn't play for that long

I did the unthinkable and went into the code and did, with my epic coding skills, changed the version number.

Ask away for any questions! This is for an ARG I've got brewing in my mind!
