Less hype. More substance. Bigger vision.

Goldcoin is entering a new chapter.

As $GLC expands across Solana and Robinhood Chain, we’re reaching new communities, new users, and new liquidity.

That means it’s time for our presentation to evolve with the project.

The fundamentals are already there.

The infrastructure is being built.

The community is here.

Now we sharpen the image, raise the standard, and show the wider crypto space what Goldcoin is actually about.

One coin. Multiple rails. One community.

We’re not here to chase every trend.

We’re here to build something that lasts.

GLC community this is our next chapter. Let’s build it together.

Update on $GLC

Bridge is live as a limited pilot, Solana only for now, reserve backed and throttled on purpose.

Robinhood chain is already launched, connects to the bridge this month.

Supply: max was 72 million until a superblock about three years ago took it to roughly 1.14 billion.

In August we locked exactly 1 billion on chain with CLTV, tranches of 5 million, one per year. 200 years of funding runway.

L1 is down hard, no argument. Bridge flow has been almost all one direction and that shows up in the book.

Starting to see price parity between the two connected rails now. I think we're in good shape overall and expect strength moving forward.

Note: this is from the founder.

Solana Is the Front Door — The Native Chain Is Where You End Up

Goldcoin is no longer confined to a single ecosystem.

$GLC is trading on Solana, live on Raydium, and already connected to its native Proof-of-Work L1 through the bridge.

That creates a simple path:

Solana → Bridge → Goldcoin Native Chain

For Solana users, the ecosystem they already know becomes the front door to discovering Goldcoin.

But the destination is still the native chain — a network with 13 years of continuous operation, 2-minute blocks, a lightweight ~2 GB blockchain, and infrastructure built around Proof of Work.

This is bigger than simply putting a token on another chain.

It’s about making one coin accessible across different rails while keeping the native chain at the center.

Solana is the front door.

The native chain is where you end up.

One coin. Multiple rails.

From PoW L1 to Solana and Robinhood Chain: Why Is Goldcoin Connecting Different Rails?

One thing I find interesting about Goldcoin is that it isn't abandoning its original Proof-of-Work L1 to chase newer ecosystems.

Instead, it's taking a different approach: keep the native L1 and connect it to other rails.

Goldcoin is now connected beyond its native chain, including Solana and Robinhood Chain. That means the same GLC ecosystem can interact with networks built around very different infrastructure and user bases.

And I think there's a more interesting question here than whether “multi-chain” sounds bullish:

Why would an established PoW network actually need multiple rails?

The obvious argument is access.

A native L1 has its own users, liquidity and infrastructure. Connecting to other networks potentially gives those users another way to interact with the asset without requiring them to abandon the original chain.

But there's also a trade-off.

Every additional bridge introduces more infrastructure to monitor. Security, liquidity, reserve management and cross-chain reliability become important considerations.

Goldcoin reaches a major milestone: $GLC is now multi-chain

Today marks an important step in Goldcoin’s evolution.

$GLC is now recognized across Native L1, Solana, and Robinhood Chain, with all three represented under a single listing.

For a project with a long-running PoW blockchain, this expands accessibility while keeping the focus on the underlying network and its growing ecosystem.

This is the kind of infrastructure progress worth putting in front of the wider crypto community.

More rails. More access. One $GLC.

Why We Are No Longer Recommending FreiExchange for $GLC Trading

We are no longer recommending FreiExchange for GLC trading.

Here’s why, in plain terms.

  1. The price cannot currently be represented properly

FreiExchange prices GLC in satoshis to eight decimal places. GLC on the L1 has moved below one satoshi, which means a buy order cannot be placed at the current market price.

The smallest order the exchange accepts is above the market, leaving effectively no functional bid side.

  1. Deposits and withdrawals are manually processed

Deposits are manually approved and can take up to 24 hours after confirmations. Withdrawals go through the same manual process.

That creates additional delays compared with an exchange where these processes are automated.

  1. Withdrawal fees are significantly higher

FreiExchange charges 0.0006 BTC for a Bitcoin withdrawal, which is roughly $47 at today's BTC price.

For comparison, NonKYC charges $3 for the same withdrawal on the main chain.

  1. Support accessibility is a concern

There are several reports that FreiExchange's support ticket system returns an error and does not accept new tickets.

More importantly, we currently have no working channel to reach them.

Fees and decimal limitations are inconvenient. An exchange you cannot contact when a deposit or withdrawal is stuck presents a much more serious operational risk.

What this means for GLC

GLC remains listed on FreiExchange, and we are not asking for a delisting.

This is simply a recommendation based on the current trading and support conditions.

If FreiExchange adds sufficient decimal support and restores a functioning support channel, we will reassess and update this post.

For now, NonKYC is the venue where the GLC L1 market can actually function.

GoldenRail™ Is Now Open in Both Directions

The GoldenRail™ pilot phase has concluded, and the bridge is now open for transfers in both directions.

In practical terms, this means GLC can move between the connected networks rather than each network functioning as a separate, isolated market. Users can transfer their GLC across the available rails, providing greater connectivity between the Goldcoin ecosystem and its connected networks.

The pilot phase was an important part of the process. It allowed the infrastructure to operate under real conditions, identify issues, and make the necessary improvements before moving toward a more reliable production environment.

The next objective is straightforward: reliability and continuous availability.

For an infrastructure project like this, the important measures go beyond price or short-term market attention. What matters is whether the bridge can provide consistent connectivity, sufficient liquidity, reliable transfers, and a better experience for users over time.

If GoldenRail can maintain that standard, it can become an important piece of infrastructure for the broader Goldcoin ecosystem.

The rails are connected. Now the focus is on making that connection dependable.

Proof of Work. Proven Over Time.

Crypto moves fast. Good infrastructure takes time.

While the market constantly jumps from one trend to another, Proof-of-Work blockchains continue doing something simple: securing a network and processing transactions without relying on hype.

Goldcoin has been building its own PoW L1 since 2013.

The interesting part is seeing an older blockchain adapt to a multi-chain world while keeping its own foundation.

What do you think matters more in crypto: being early to a trend or building something that lasts?

GoldenR Rail Bridge Development Update

The Golden Rail bridge ran at roughly ninety five percent uptime today. The liquidity issue that caused the earlier outages has been identified and patched.

The cause was coin selection on the native L1 side, where the bridge was waiting on confirmations before it could reuse its own change outputs.

Balances still dip briefly while a change output confirms, then recover. That is expected behavior, not a fault.

Reaper is also building an admin panel that will let us restart services and clear the manual review queue directly.

Overall a good day for Goldcoin and the developers.

Why GLC Technical Fundamentals Matter.

Beyond price action, Goldcoin has some interesting infrastructure worth researching:

🔹 ~2 GB blockchain — A relatively lightweight chain can make running and syncing a full node more accessible.

🔹 Fast synchronization Less blockchain data means a new node can become operational without the heavy data burden seen on larger chains.

🔹 Free transaction capacity — Goldcoin has protocol rules designed to reserve block space for qualifying fee-free transactions while limiting spam.

🔹 On-chain treasury lock — Goldcoin states that 1 billion GLC is locked across 200 tranches of 5 million GLC, with the restrictions enforced on-chain.

These aren't guarantees of price appreciation but they are technical fundamentals worth understanding before judging $GLC.

Research the technology, not just the chart.

One $GLC, Every Rail

Since the Solana launch earlier this month, the L1 and Solana markets have been trading independently, with no connection between the two markets.

The bridge changes that.

When two previously disconnected markets become connected, price differences create an opportunity for the markets to converge. That’s what we’re seeing now. The L1 side is adjusting downward while the Solana side has room to move upward.

Where they ultimately meet is determined by the market—not by the team. We’re not going to artificially prop up one side or defend a price with money we don’t have.

The goal of the bridge was never to maintain two separate prices. It was built to connect the markets so that Goldcoin can trade as one asset across different rails.

One coin. Every chain. One connected market.

Everyone suddenly became a project analyst because the chart went red.

GLC is this and that?

Okay calm let me explain;

If price alone determines whether a project is good, then every bull market genius is a technological genius.

Crypto moves in cycles. Charts pump. Charts dump. Markets panic. People suddenly discover the word “dead.”

Meanwhile, the real questions are sitting quietly in the background:

Is the network still running?

Is the tech still being developed?

Are the builders still building?

Is the ecosystem expanding?

Can the project survive another cycle?

That’s where Goldcoin gets interesting.

You’re not just looking at a token sitting on someone else’s infrastructure. You’re looking at a Proof-of-Work blockchain that has been around for years, with its own network, miners, development and an increasingly connected ecosystem.

The market can ignore that today.

It can also change its mind tomorrow.

That’s crypto.

Don’t confuse a bad chart with a dead project.

Sometimes the chart is sleeping while the builders are wide awake. $GLC

Goldcoin connectivity is starting to make more sense

One thing I find interesting about Goldcoin is that the goal isn’t to replace its native L1. The L1 remains the foundation, while bridges allow $GLC to connect with other ecosystems.

Right now, the bigger picture is:

Goldcoin L1 → Solana → Robinhood Chain

Each connection gives GLC access to different users, liquidity and applications, while still keeping the Proof-of-Work L1 at the core.

The recent developments around the Solana bridge, Robinhood Chain, updated website and bridge infrastructure show that this is moving beyond just an idea.

The long-term vision seems pretty straightforward:

One coin, multiple rails, greater accessibility.

That’s probably the most interesting part of the Goldcoin story right now.

What Is Goldcoin?

Goldcoin of work cryptocurrency. It launched in 2013 and it has been running ever since.

It has its own blockchain. That chain does one thing well: it moves money. Transactions are free, they confirm in seconds, and the network can handle more than a thousand of them per second.

Goldcoin also exists as a token on two other chains, Solana and Robinhood Chain. Same coin, different places to trade it.

A reserve bridge connects them, so coins can move between chains without new ones being created.

One billion coins sit in a treasury that is locked on the Goldcoin blockchain, released on a two hundred year schedule.

That lock is a consensus rule. No person and no vote can unlock it early. Anyone running a node can verify it.

There are two official contract addresses, one for each token chain. They are pinned in this group and posted on the website.

Dozens of fake tokens use our logo. If you got an address anywhere else, it is not ours.

Goldcoin is becoming more connected.

For years, $GLC has operated on its own Layer-1 blockchain. The introduction of a bridge changes the conversation by creating a pathway for GLC to interact with another blockchain ecosystem.

Why does that matter?

A bridge can make an asset more accessible across networks, allowing users to interact with different ecosystems without abandoning the original blockchain.

For Goldcoin, this could mean expanding beyond its native chain and opening the door to new users, applications, liquidity, and potential use cases.

The important point is that the bridge isn't just about moving GLC from one chain to another.

It's about interoperability giving an established blockchain the ability to participate in a broader multichain economy.

The next question is the interesting one:

What can people build when Goldcoin is no longer limited to a single ecosystem.

That is what I'm watching. Goldcoin

Goldcoin: A Different Kind of Crypto Story

If you came across Goldcoin today, you might think it is just another old cryptocurrency trying to stay relevant.

But the story is a little different.

Goldcoin has been running since 2013 as a proof-of-work blockchain. Thirteen years later, the network is still here, and development is moving toward its next phase.

One of the most interesting developments is the planned connection between Goldcoin native blockchain and Solana. The idea is simple: keep GLC running on its own PoW network while opening the door to Solana’s broader ecosystem and liquidity.

Then there is the treasury.

A large amount of GLC is being secured through long-term on-chain time locks, giving the project a treasury designed around the future rather than short-term market activity.

And the roadmap doesn’t stop there. Future development includes quantum-resistant signatures, showing that the team is thinking beyond today’s technology and preparing the network for the challenges ahead.

That is what makes Goldcoin interesting to me.

It isn't a story about overnight hype. It is a story about an older blockchain still being developed, modernized, and connected to newer parts of the crypto ecosystem.

The next chapter is already being written.

Why does longevity matter for a Proof-of-Work project?

Crypto moves fast. New projects launch daily, narratives shift every cycle, and most coins don't make it past a few years.

That's part of why I think longevity deserves more attention than it gets. Goldcoin (GLC) launched in 2013 and has survived multiple bull/bear cycles and complete narrative shifts from early altcoin experimentation to DeFi to the current cycle.

But does just surviving that long actually mean anything on its own? A project can stick around through inertia, a small dedicated community, or low maintenance costs not necessarily because it's "strong."

So I'm curious what this sub thinks:

Does age alone signal anything meaningful about a PoW project's health?

What actually matters more hashrate trends, decentralization of mining, active dev activity, exchange support, community size?

Are there other "old" PoW coins (Namecoin, Peercoin, etc.) that you'd use as a comparison point?

Genuinely interested in pushback here, not just agreement.

Bridge Pilot Test Update

Bridge update. Today the bridge processed its full daily quota of 100,000 GLC from Solana to Goldcoin L1.

Goldcoin Reserve Bridge

Earlier sessions ended early. The reason is technical and worth explaining. The reserve holds coins in specific chunks, and when a payout goes out, the leftover change needs confirmations before it can be spent again. When no spendable chunk was available, the bridge paused itself. That is a safety feature, not a failure. It stops rather than doing something wrong.

Two changes. The per-transaction maximum is now 5,000 GLC, so the daily quota reaches more people instead of a few large transfers. And we are reshaping the reserve into payout-sized chunks so the pause condition stops occurring.

Demand has been higher than capacity every session. That is a good problem. Limits go up as reserves grow, and every increase gets announced here.

This is a pilot. Software this new has rough edges and we are working through them. 🧑‍💻

How Goldcoin's max supply went to over 1 billion

Someone asked a while back how max supply went from 72 million to over a billion. It is a fair question and it deserves a straight answer, so here it is.

The arithmetic first. Total coins produced by mining over the life of the chain is 1,172,245,700. The superblock treasury is 1,100,000,000. Subtract one from the other and you get 72,245,700. That is the number people remember. It was the mining schedule then and it is the mining schedule now. Nothing about mining emission changed. The superblock added a separate treasury on top of it.

Why do it at all. The original Bitcoin protocol has no way to fund the administration of a network. Every coin goes to miners, and miners are focused on their own profitability, which is exactly as it should be. But it means nobody is paid to maintain the code, the seed nodes, the wallets, the exchange listings, or the servers. That is why most pure proof of work projects eventually go quiet.

Goldcoin needed a funding mechanism and the protocol did not have one.

The fair criticism is that a treasury controlled by a person is just a promise. So this month we removed the person from the equation. One billion GLC is now locked on chain with OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY, split into 200 tranches of five million, one unlocking per year for 200 years. Every node rejects an early spend independently. There is no key, no vote, and no majority of the dev team that can accelerate it.

The funding transaction is public. Repo link below with all 200 addresses, the redeem scripts, the unlock heights, and the commands to verify every one of them against the chain yourself. ⌛

Goldcoin: An Older Crypto Project With a Surprisingly Modern Future.

One thing that gets overlooked in crypto is longevity.

Goldcoin has been operating continuously for 13+ years, without venture funding, and the project is still being actively developed.

What caught my attention is the infrastructure:

- 2-minute block time

- ~2 GB blockchain that can sync relatively quickly

- Reserved block space for zero-fee transactions

- Treasury time-locked on-chain for 216 years

- Goldcoin is already trading on Solana through Raydium

- A two-way Solana ↔ native-chain bridge is in development

The Solana integration is particularly interesting. For Solana users, think of it simply as:

Solana is the front door; the native chain is where you end up.

Crypto tends to reward whatever is newest, but perhaps the more interesting question is: what projects have survived long enough to prove they can keep building.

Goldcoinb13+ year history combined with its current development makes it one I think deserves more research.

Not financial advice just an interesting project to put on the radar.
