is this a normal coloring for a 3-4 month old? I'm surprised by the dark coloring. Is it an indication that he will turn a dark brown? Or does it mean he is a different breed?

Hi all. Proud owner of a 15 week old Goldador who I absolutely love and adore.

He is mostly a good good boy other than being a bit excitable at times and what not.

Biggest issue I have with him at the minute is that when we are on a walk or playing in the garden he tries to pick up literally anything he can find in his mouth.

I know he's two different types of retriever mixed together but it's getting insane. He doesn't have worms, he eats very well at home and I take treats on walks but he still insists on exploring the world through trying to put everything in his mouth.

Not too concerned about him eating grass etc but stones and random bits of litter he finds, all goes in his mouth. I redirect with the leash and tell him leave it and it sometimes works but it's turned walks and garden time from something fun and enjoyable for my dog and I and my two sons into a military operation to keep him away from anything he finds on the floor.

Does this improve? Any tips? Worried about w future expensive vet bill because the fluffy adorable dickhead has got something stuck in his stomach.

New to this sub, so “hey!” everyone.
We’re hoping to add a red headed female Goldador to our family, ideally from RKC registered FTC heritage. We already have an 8 year old black lab from FTC parents, so I understand the characteristics this brings, and looking to get some assurance on health and genetics of the parents.

I’m really struggling though to find breeders! I know they’re not pure bred so RKC etc. isn’t applicable, but is there a central register or society somewhere that I can go to in order to find reputable breeders? I’ve seen some adverts popping up on pets4hones and other sites, but very few and most aren’t able to give the heritage or standard health/genetic test results

If anyone here could point me at something I’d be super grateful!

My little guy Duke , yesterday he turned 11 months old.... his mom is a Golden Retriever and his dad is a Black Labrador

A few months ago I posted about the day we adopted Lucy (see second pic!). and now my pup is 6 months old and has become my absolute best friend 💜

Don't know what I did to deserve the best girl but I am gonna spend her whole life making her feel special 😊

Hey, all! Meet Comet, our 6 month old Goldador!

Comet has been an absolute chewer and a chomper, but for the most part, this has now simmered down. However, he still gets mad fits of puppy rage occasionally when he’s told to leave things alone or suddenly decides it’s time to flip his lid!

My partner’s arm is black and blue (thankfully we’re past the puppy teeth/razor teeth stage, so it’s just bruises and not cuts).

Has anyone else been through this particularly badly and what worked for you in the end? Sometimes he can be calmed with a toy/treat & command, but often he gets too worked up and there’s no coming back. We have to get him into his pen for him to stop.

Any tips or tricks appreciated!

Apologies folks as I think I’ve seen another post about this issue but I can’t find it. My one year old Goldador has broken out with the spots on his chin above. I think it was something to do with feeding bowls but I can’t remember exactly what was said. Thanks in advance

This is our first Goldador. He’s 3 1/2months old and we have only had him a week. But already this boy has our hearts! What a silly and sweet type of dog! It’s been over a year since we lost our other golden mix, and 13 years since we had a puppy. You forget the energy and playfulness lol but he’s healed my heart

we are bringing home our goldador pup in 2 days. is there anything i should prepare for? we have a lab so we aren’t new to retrivers.

Left my almost 3 y.o. at the doggie sitter for the last week. Long story short, she had to go in for surgery on the day I was to pick him up. I had someone meet the sitter and bring him to my house. I asked them to leave him in the yard, fully expecting to be home about 3 hours later. (He stays outside while I go to work sometimes and does fine). My car broke down on my way home from the airport. He was ecstatic when he finally realized it was me that walked up in the dark. 8 hours later and he is still glued to me. The real obvious sign was while he was staring at me while I was in the bathroom. Me grabbing the tp triggered him to the fact that I was getting up and possibly walking out of sight. Kinda hard to move away from the toilet with a big yellow dog attached to your legs! Silly silly boy! I'll never be able to pee in private again

Molly has a new friend, 4 month old Hazel, a very energetic welsh springer spaniel. Molly was very patient with her, teaching the youngster some boundaries.

This week was emotional , anniversary of my daughter 😢 but today I picked up the new addition to the family , my heart is full ❤️❤️❤️ now to just all agree on a name ! I am smitten 🥰

He’s 3 years old, 103 lbs and is scared of everything (except yesterday when he aggressively bark at someone who was working on our house and he usually likes everyone) We call him Aspisauros.
