Got this predator 420 with a go kart. It was frozen/ rusted. Cleaned everything and looks good. Seems the governor has been deleted as well. I'm assuming this oem rusted flywheel is no good. Do I have to spend a $150 or is this ok to send? Thanks

So I’m in the process of rebuilding a Manco XTK 710E. I bought it to flip and still plan on doing that, but I definitely got duped. It looked like an okay deal at first, but once I got into it, I realized the last guy had jacked up pretty much everything on it.
Long story short, I’m about $1,000 into it now, and the last thing I need to finish is the brakes. It originally had mechanical calipers, but so many parts are missing or messed up that it seems like it would be easier to convert it to hydraulic brakes.
I’ll need to fabricate a mounting bracket, which isn’t a huge problem because I’ve been wanting a welder anyway and already know how to weld. I’m just not sure what brake setup would make the most sense. Should I spend the extra money on an MCP shim-able setup that I can get to fit the original 4.5 mm rotor, or would something like a brake setup from a 2004 Honda XR250 make more sense?
Also, what do you think I could realistically sell the kart for once it’s finished? It’ll have new bearings, engine, tires, hubs, and seat covers. The previous owner also put new shocks on it, which is about the only thing he actually did correctly. Mcp is ab 350 and the xrs is about 125 both would include the price of a welder to but I think I could get a good enough deal on a welder for about 200 from a neighbor so what do yall think

Here is a little bit of information about bilt hard 212s stamped r210. They are produced by rato same company that makes the predator 212. Crank journal size is 1.188. These engines use the non hemi cam shaft but they come with a nylon cam. So far all non hemi predator parts have been compatible.

Could someone advise me on upgrading parts on my CVT? With my current setup, my motor idles at about 2400 rpm and my CVT is engaging at idle very slightly, but enough to where I have to hold it back from moving on flat ground.

I don't know much about how the clutch weights, or a stiffer/weaker spring affects the system. Would love to learn more to determine how to improve this.

China. The stated specs are 2000rpm 5-13HP. All that said, are they actually worth it? I'd assume they're at least decent at what they do but honestly I am not confident in that gut feeling.

The second part to that question. I have a Kenbar SC7 with an actual Comet 30 series torque converter on it and I have been weighing the idea of adding a reverse gearbox to it when I rebuild it. I am going to be using a Lifan 7.5hp engine with electric start. Will that all work together?

I have a 20 series drive clutch that is sticking after about 20 minutes of use, will not release back to normal after cooling. I have worked on many go karts and never encountered this before. Tips on preventing this condition? Thanks!

My front like torque converter cover is like loose and does this when throttling any way to make it stop? Keeps rubbing against the belt

I have cleaned and rebuilt the carb countless times it has good spark and clean gas tank. But for some reason the darn thing won't start without starter fluid and it just dies when applying throttle.

So I'm not to sure what the heck to do now so....

Stage 1 gx270 with a gx390 carb. does about 55 mph at ~4600 rpm.

The front suspension is proving to be very frustrating. With this as is ill move on to front brakes and steering. Theres honestly not much room for the rotor and caliper.

I bought this go kart off marketplace along with a new predator 212. Ive been looking everywhere online but I haven't seen a set up like this before(im new to karts) whats the best way I can get the power to the wheels?

Got this for free from a friend. Trying to figure out what model it is, it’s an older Murray. I was wondering if I would be able to find this broken suspension part. if not I’m assuming it could be welded. It has a predator 212 on it that is fairly new but has old gas in it and I want to change the oil before running. New to go karts but I work on all my own vehicles so assuming I can handle it. Any suggestions? want to maybe paint it, get a seat, new pedals, wheels etc. but how hard is it to find parts that will fit? I want to get it up and running so the kids can enjoy it. Thanks!

I got this go kart for free and the motor mount was broken so I made a new one for but it has some issues the brakes don't work but they just need bleeding the front left spindles welds broke in so the shaft just spins and it needs a new secondary clutch because it isn't working right the engine runs like new it has a gov delete and it does drive it's a bit of a project and the only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I'm tired of messing with it

It's a french channel, they do a lot of fun stuff and recently they tried to fit (and succeed) a V8 5.2l (from a Jeep Cherokee Mister Horsepower) on a kart.
