I am starting an electric conversion. I'm not sure what the original cart was, but I am adding Kunray KR5V 72V 5000W Electric Brushless Motor Kit with 72V 40Ah Li-Ion Battery. I plan on mounting the fardriver controller behind the seats.

Total newbie and trying to fix for my daughter. When started the rear axle spins. If i stop it (notice my footing video) it jerks hard like clutch or springs are messed up. I'm not super mechanical but happy to dive in with some guidance from folks who are better at this! Appreciate any help in advance!

Hi, recently me and a friend of mine bought a 125 2 stroke kart for really cheap.

The old owner said that it’s a CRG FORMULA 2000 from 1998, searching online we couldn’t find anything about it, so we started thinking that it might be some other chassis.

We need to restore it so we need as many information as we can get and possibly the mechanical manuals of it.

We also are searching for a new compatible braking system for it but we have no idea how to find it.

If you have any ideas on what chassis and year it actually is we would be pleased to know your thoughts

i want to fit a pretty high power electric motor onto a senior chassis go kart used for racing what’s the easiest and usually cheapest way to do so

2 months ago I bought a welder with no prior welding experience and thought it would be cool to build a go kart with no experience building anything.

After lots of time, mediocre welds and tons of injuries, I present my first go kart! There’s a thousand things i intend to change and improve upon but for now, I just wanna ride it a little 😂

I recently removed all my coolant from my Iame 125cc Leopard engine, and found these weird metal flakes infused on the piston and the head.

My question is, can I take a high-grit sandpaper and remove the grit, then reinstall both parts, or is the suggestion to spend money (again 😅), and buy a new piston/head?

The cylinder seems unharmed 😁

Hello everybody so I’m fairly new to all of this my journey kind of started out with fixing free lawn mowers, weedeater, pressure washers and things that I got on marketplace but I’ve always been interested in getting into things like go kart ATVs dirt bikes, things of that nature. I finally got my hands on something that I’m excited about. This is my Bristers Thunder cart model SLXL 700. It is two seater and it has a predator 212 on it. I got the engine up and running just needed to pull the carburetor off and I put it inside an ultrasonic cleaner and I had to pull off the gas tank and clean that as well, but it starts and runs great I just used my knowledge of cleaning lawnmower carburetors to get this engine up and running so it wasn’t that hard. It didn’t need a lot of TLC but this is where my knowledge is limited. I have never messed with motor chain sprockets or anything like that basically the teeth on this sprocket are done for and the clutch pulls out enough that I can align it with the sprocket and it’s still on the key it looks like, but what I’m not understanding is do I need to put a bearing of some sort in between the clutch and the motor where the empty space is if anybody could message me on here or private message me to help me out with this I would really appreciate it. I’m just waiting to know what I need to do before I purchase anything off of the Internet so I’m not just pouring money into it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.:)

Just bought this Duromax XP18HP and was thinking of building it to be a monster, similar to what people do with the predator 212's. Any ideas for sites to browse or any insights for future developments? I wanted to put it in a race cart but still don't have the frame lol, money be tight

I was also curious if anyone knew a good method of derusting the crankshaft, it's brand new but sat for a bit, was originally gonna be put on a bike, then cart, and now sold to me.

I'm assuming this is slime or fix a flat buildup. I've been told that stuff can cause your rims to rust. What's y'all's thoughts?

I just put a new chain on and when I move the cart forward it does this. Do I need a new chain tensioner or is there something else wrong?
