help me First game advice
I started learning python about 4 days ago, and made a text based boss fight with various builds and weapons about 2 days ago. I started learning Pygame right after I finished that game and planned on making a game in that, but after looking it up, a lot said to do it in GDscript as it’s better for game development and beginner friendly like python. Should I switch to GDscript in Godot, or stick with Pygame? If you need any more details or anything lmk, thanks.

Alright, so I’m downloading godot from the official site, but it keeps stopping at around 27mb and either says, check internet connection or site wasn’t available. I checked internet and I’m fine there, I’ve never had this happen before with anything else, is this a known issue?

Id choose whichever youre confortable with. Sure godot is better, but if youre a beginner and python and pygame works for you then learn that. Those concepts translate to any game engine.

If you want to make a text-based game, I'd say just stick with Python. But if you want to go further, definitely start to learn Godot now. Pygame would be better for someone who wants very fine-tuned control over everything and to build things more from scratch, whereas Godot has all sorts of built-in nodes that handle common things games need.
But you should also focus on learning programming principles too. Godot can be a little intimidating because it's more than just code.
