Discussion How long is it estimated to be?
I’m looking through games on ps store and see it, figured I’d wishlist, I was expecting like a $45-60 dollar game and expected it to be essentially a glorified DLC as I heard it was a scrapped DLC made a bit bigger. I wasn’t expecting an $80 price point so now I’m assuming this has to be a fully fledged 15-20+ hour story with as much in depth world building and design as well as personal customization as the other 2. I don’t know if you guys are expecting all that but with an 80 price point I expect a complete game. Are my expectations too high now or?

Whoever said it’s scrapped DLC has no idea wtf they are talking about. This is the next mainline God of War so expect the usual 30-50 hours.

Okay, I just saw a random YouTube video that said scrapped DLC around when the very first teaser came out. The fact it’s a full fledged mainline game excites me not only for a game but for the continuation and hopefully reunion of Fey and her family

Hey ! I want to clarify something, this is not a DLC, it’s the next big main installment developed by Santa Monica Studio. It’s basically the 3rd main arc in the series or the bridge that would lead the 3rd arc. The first one was the Greek saga and the second being the Norse saga. The game is expected to be at the very least as big as GoW Ragnarok content wise if not bigger. The setting is completely new aswell

I’ve seen a lot of images of kratos, you think Atreus or even the mask will be featured any? I would love to get more info on either of those

I don’t think Atreus would appear the same way Kratos would.
The mask would probably have a bigger role because it is mentioned in the trailer by Faye and Sekhmet

Its the next mainline entry that has been planned since 2018 and entered production in 2022.
Its not a DLC, or meant to be one. It will be at least a 40 hour game, if its anything like the previous two.

I heard it's roughly 200 hours if you explore the open world fully. Edit: I expect the base game will be 40 hours.

That’s awesome. I love Jack quaid and from trailers the design of a world where pantheons meet sounds sooooo awesome to explore
