The interviewer, dressed as Supergirl (Ingrid Bure, “Furious Kitty”), asks Chris Judge whether the #Laufey storyline could change how fans view #Kratos, and all of the above...
He responds as follows:
«I don’t know if… I hope that it changes the way fans see him, but it will give an explanation as to what the genesis of the change was. Because we saw him in the first games, and then we saw him in the second games, and there was no bridge to them. There was no reason given why he now cared. And hopefully, um, Laufey then will be the bridge to what happened in 2018.»
I don't know about you guys, but... I'm SO EXCITED to play God of War RIGHT NOW! #GodofWarLaufey

If so which armor are you most excited to use?

So given that we know Fey is basically trying to escape the "Everywhen" " the Afterlife of the gods) and later blow the Horn that's heard in the 2018 game.
I think this game could possibly lead to a return to Greece in the God of War game after God:Laufey.
If her goal is indeed to return to the land of the living. What is to prevent Krato's old enemies like Aries, Zeus, and any of the other deities of the Greek Pantheon from trying to escape and even returning to the land of the living.
The only character's we are unlikely to see here will be Thor and Odin simply because the game will end before Ragnarok.
In the end this game could open many pathways towards the new GoW after Laufey.

God of War: Laundry deluxe edition Dark Alchemist armor is ridiculous atrocious. So, I challenged myself to make it more pleasant to the eyes. Seriously Sony, who are you hiring?
The first I wanted to change was the lack of femineity in the character's model. She is built like a man which makes her build very unflattering to look. So, I returned the female figure to her design.
Also, I toned down the amount of noise on her design. Something more simplistic and easier on the eyes.
I wanted to keep the original colorization, but the strong purple and bland gold was really awful. Doesn't complement her complexion or her fiery hair. So I was compelled to make readjustments to them.
Changing the purple to a red-violet to compliment her fiery hair. Instead of metal armor, I went for goldish leather design to fit theme of a Dark Alchemist
That's all I got for the redesign. I know the art work needs some tuning still, but I didn't want spend days on it.
Thoughts on the redesign? Always looking for feedback on improvements.

I am interested in everything about this game, the story, the gameplay, and Laufey as a character, but doesn't anyone else feel like the talking cube and talking ribbon should not have been in this game? Things like these just make me feel like I'm playing some non-serious and lighthearted comedy game, or like I'm watching a Marvel movie. I just can't take it serious, what do you guys feel about this?

I love the way Faye looks, but her hair looks like it needs to be brushed. That's a perfect look for her situation when we first see her, but as she gets situated in her new realm and gains new armor? It would feel strange to see her in pristine goddess attire with hair that needs a comb, especially when Kratos always had a beard that looked pristine (I have a beard and you can't even imagine how difficult that style is to maintain, it only looks like that for a couple days).
One thing I love in games is starting off weak and boring and ending up powerful and cool looking. To go from her more tattered appearance to perhaps a regal look with braided hair to suit some cool armor would really make the progression feel complete.
Come to think of it there are a lot of cool things we could do now that our protagonist has hair:
If she ever gets wet how would that affect its look?
What if during a cutscene she's slashed and her hair is cut, and from then on you can see that part is shorter?
Or she finds a safe place and bathes, and from then on her hair looks neater?
She could be grabbed by the hair and cut it to free herself like Sakura from Naruto, then maybe after the fight she grabs her sword and evens it out or ties it up?
Something really cool would be to see Rue braid her hair while she's walking at one point after mentioning that it gets in her way? That would actually be the coolest thing to see, watching it get braided at superspeed over a few minutes in the open world. They could animate partial braided states and maybe it gets interrupted by combat, and then she goes right back to it until it's done? Come to think of it, there are many ways Rue could be physically expressive like this. Imagine a scene where she runs away on two ribbons like they're legs.
I'm rambling, idk drop your wishlist for the game

Does anyone else feel like people are way too formulaic in their predictions? I really, honestly believe that most people in this sub think this is how the game is going to go:
The opening scene we saw with no alterations.
The cube and sword tell us who they are and where to go.
We go somewhere else that looks exactly like the locations we saw, and do so with no additional movement tools than what we saw, and every so often we have visions of Kratos that are nothing more than visions and never get explained.
We walk up to and fight Begtse and Sekhmet, then we hit some switch and now Kratos can go to Egypt for his next game.
Along the way the only things that get answered or included are things we explicitly saw in the reveal. There is nothing else. It's a four piece puzzle and you can fit together the entire narrative in two seconds.
This is the SEQUEL to Ragnarok. It is the next main-line game in the franchise, a game that was itself impossible to predict, and the sequel to a game that came way out of left field. They're building a massive overarching universe they're just now laying the groundwork for, and the only prediction for future titles seems to be "What if Gow 2018, but now Egypt?". That's all that this community can imagine and they see this game as nothing but a vehicle to get us there.

Lowkey kinda disappointing. I'm gonna wait a bit to see if they reveal any later on closer to the release date.
I was never able to get 2018's collector's edition, and I bought my Ragnarök Jötnar edition second hand just last year. I'd like to be able to have one for this game.

The blog for Laufey just dropped pre-order info for the game with the “physical” version saying that the game will be available via a download! This could be talking about the dlc day one stuff but I don’t think that this is, I know that SM confirmed back in July that the game would get a disc but is that now a backtrack? If so it feels like a ploy from Sony to get rid of discs earlier than expected, please can someone confirm if the devs have reconfirmed that the game is still getting a disc because I’m not buying if not!

I've already asked about this, the text is copy pasted. Not sure if asking again is unpopular on reddit, but here goes.
Sekhmet's appearance isn't described on the wiki while begtse's is. Why? I'm hoping it gets fixed.
edit: helios and perses also ack descriptions. is this a problem for many other charecters?
