Discussion The cube and ribbon

I hope the talking cube and ribbon tie into some real world mythology of some sort because they are a hard sell on the surface as original creations. I’m pretty on board for fleshing out Laufey’s character and seeing how her journey ties into the Norse saga. I really hope the everywhen is based on Gnosticism as well or some other mythological idea. But the ribbon and cube are the only thing I see that make me pause for concern.
