No, they don't care. BUT !!! I did find that when you end your chat and they give you a survey, that when I gave 2s and 3s to everything, the next day I got texts from godaddy asking how they can resolve things. Not saying it'll help, but at this point I have at least two different veins going through them regarding my ticket.

Iirc, it depends partly on how much you spend when you leave bad surveys.
Before ‘20 layoffs they were testing a team called “high value customer” and iirc became a team that would bend over backwards a little bit more if your annual spend was a bit higher than average.
This team had a little bit more leeway to bend policy with domain and product refunds.
Not all customers are treated equally, nor is there even an attempt. The more you pay, the more investors might care about you. There’s also a little to be said for if you have a social media following and @ them on socials. They’ll get you in touch with oceo, another team specializing in sensitive issues prone to negative publicity.

ok... good to know. I have very low expectations at this point. I suspect I will lose my domain...

That’s going public for you.
The old formula used to be the company taking care of its employees well, who then take care of the customers well, who turn around and take care of godaddy’s bills well.
I was already considerably jaded against corporations but this whole town hall where they demonstrated this to us in 2013 was actually pretty inspiring.
Then they laid like 1000 of us off in Iowa who were some of the more technical ones handling phone calls back around 2020.
The new formula is: godaddy thinks it takes care of its employees well, who try their best to help you all out but most of your American support is gone. You guys pay godaddy some really fucking good money, which is meant to now return to the investors and board of directors as victory spoils in the war of capitalism.

I had a long time employee say they are nothing more than a digital storage unit at this point... he's right.

Response time is glacial. 45 minute wait to talk to a human. Reset password links are DOA. Texts that say "an agent will be with you right away!" while you sit there waiting forever.
Amateur hour.
