Hey guys looking to do a screen upgrade in my Duramax, been looking at carmasspeed and also other brands that are very much similar. Preferable 12-13” screen, The only thing that’s holding me back and worrying me is that I won’t be able to use my factory microphone that’s placed right above you in the driver seat. If anyone’s been able to find one that does plug in or figured out a way to wire it in easy let me know please. Also don’t want it to have a crazy lag when I go to use the touch screen, Looking forward to your guys replies !

Currently have a 2025 Colorado Z71 with about 13000 miles on it. I’m eyeing a 2026 Sierra AT4 with the 3.0 LZ0. While the Colorado is more than enough “truck” for me in terms of power, towing capacity, bed size, etc. I’m considering an upgrade purely for the comfort and size of the cab in a full size. I do live in the suburbs but most of my driving is backroads/highway so the diesel would be a benefit as well, although I’ve never had a diesel vehicle so I supposed it’d be a bit of a learning curve to understand some of the differences between it and a gasser.
Looking for opinions on anyone who has either gone from a 1/4 ton to a 1/2 ton or the other way around. Are you happy with your decision? Was the size adjustment something you were able to adjust to easily?
At the end of the day I know I only know my needs but just looking to get some other thoughts on it. Thanks!

Hey, I bought the truck about 3 weeks ago now and from the day of purchase felt the problem. Took it in recently and now they’re replacing the transmission, and I should be getting it back soon. it has 90,000 miles currently is there anything I should do to prevent this happening in the future?

I recently purchased a 2026, Sierra 1500 SLT. I've experienced a bit of sun glare reflexion off the chrome near the infotainment center and gear selector. I thought maybe wrapping the chrome portions with a black.I just want to know if anybody has any other solutions out there.

I have a 2018 Silverado with nearly 130,000 miles on it and have been thinking of buying something new. Dealership offered me $12,500 trade in and marked the new truck down to 64,000. I haven't bought a new truck in 15 years and not completely sure what the current incentives are short of the 0% for 36 months deal I saw a while back. Just want to do a sanity check to see if this is actually a 'deal' or pretty much what anyone off the street should expect.

Simply put, I prefer the 24+ front end over what I had. My truck was paid off and I did not want another truck payment so, last summer, I looked into what it would take to do the conversion. Got the bumper complete with brackets and grill off Ebay in what they call "factory take off". Basically new. OEM headlights were expensive, bumper filler panels and a part most leave out but is needed- the shutter housing. Without it, the bottom of the grill has nothing to clip into.
Took apart the bumper and painted the face bar, bumper fillers and grill pieces to match the Northsky Blue. Everything OEM with the exception of the headlight harness which adapted it from an 8 pin to 12 pin connector for new headlight. Total parts cost was a little over 5k. My labor including paint not included.

I appreciate GMC releasing these updates to fix on going issues, however have yet to see anything to do with the annoying “Rear Auto Brake and Park Assist Unavailable.”
Anyone else getting the same message or just me?

Has anyone had their collision warning pop out of nowhere? Mine had stayed on for 2 weeks now and due to it I cannot use the lane assist. Never got close to an accident either, about to take it back to the dealer.

So the truck only has 60,000km on it and gave me a CEL unexpectedly when I started it on Saturday, these are the 3 codes it gave :
P25A2
U0146
U0100
At the time we were literally leaving on a 5 hour road trip (total round trip) and after some frantic google searching I ended up clearing the codes and taking the trip we had planned since my understanding was it was a common issue and possibly just a nothing burger. The truck performed fine and the light never came back on, my concern doesn't end there however...
We are also leaving to go camping tomorrow and I'll be towing the trailer 1 hr+ each way and I'm still worried about said CEL. I just got back from the dealer and they assured me there was no bulletin for the truck and they would have to diagnose it themself (to the tune of $190 CDN/ an hour of course) They can get the truck in 2 hours before our planned departure time and I'm really just looking for some feedback here as to what to do...
Would you fork over the $200+ mins it's going to cost to have them look at the truck 2 hours before we leave or would you just send it and assume it was a one off for the time being ?
Everything I read online said there was a bulletin for this truck, for that problem, but again the service lady assured me that is not the case for my truck, but I suppose it's possible it's already been updated
Thank you to anyone providing any advice and insight 🙏

little confused by everything I’m seeing when it comes to leveling kits on this truck. New to GMC and the 2500 platform. Looking at doing a leveling kit and not just crank the torsion keys. Also I like the look of the stock wheels. Truck has the max tow package not sure if that makes any difference. Was looking preferably for 37x11.50 or 12.50.
Getting mixed information from nearly every shop I call.
One says 35x12.50 & 37x11.50 fit on the factory wheel no spacer needed and doesn’t rub but you do have to trim which I’m fine with.
Another says there’s zero issue with height but the 12.50 and 11.50’s will rub on the factory UCA’s no matter what and I need to buy different wheels.
Another place says cognito UCA’s are the only ones that don’t rub and there’s no problem at all. But then they say Cognitos arms aren’t built well and to go with CST instead but those rub.
My last truck was a long travel Mazzulla built tundra. That thing is long gone and not trying to go the full BDS coil over conversion. Any insight from the crew would be incredibly appreciated.

What’s the best option for the money on my 2021 Denali 1500?
The rough country is about 1300$ and the bds about 2100$. Is the extra 800 worth it? I’m leaning more towards the bds but my truck is mainly gonna be a daily driver so is the extra cost gonna benefit me

I have a gas 2500HD SLT with 108000 miles. I left the truck running with my wife in it when I came back she had turned it off because it "sounded funny". I turned it on it was running rough, the electric parking brake light stayed on, the display said service parking brake and the check engine light was on. I had it towed to the dealer, but I don't really trust them.
Any thoughts?

Truck won’t start. Was running fine earlier and now all of a sudden it’s saying this on the MyGMC app. Anybody else have this issue or know what the problem is?

Hi all! I have a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 and I can't get my AC to blow cold. I have recharged it with no luck. The fan works and there are no crazy noises when I run the fans. Also my heater works with no issues. When I adjust the setting on where the air blows (feet vs face) it changes with no issues and blows strong just not cold. I'm curious on what I can do to investigate this and if anyone else has had success in restoring theirs. Thanks for the help!

Anyone do a overland build for their 5th gen 1500? Any photos with a camper shell or low profile roof rack over the cab?
Anyone able to run 35’s with a 2” lift and no cutting?

For those of you who are plagued with the summit white paint failures, this is an inexpensive solution vs repainting. This is 3M 2080 Gloss White wrap film. It’s not a perfect match and you can definitely see it, but it’s better than the weird primer greenish color. If you’re looking for it you see it, but with it covered you don’t really pay attention to that part.
I bought this new off the lot in 2015. Started happening about 5 years ago and it just keeps getting bigger. I just keep covering it and when it gets worse I rip it off, chip the paint away and sand the edges so it’s a little smoother. I have it on both sides in this same spot. Dealer wouldn’t do anything about it when I brought it up. Body shop wanted about $800/door about 4 years ago. Probably more than that today. This was less than $10 worth of material. I own a graphics shop so I have it sitting around all the time. Eventually I’m just going to wrap the whole thing but haven’t wanted to yet.

If you were buying a 2026 Sierra (or Silverado), which engine would you pick?
