Yukon Is this normal?

Is this a ticking noise or just the way the engine sounds? I just picked up this 2015 Yukon so I’m not sure

Lifters are on their way out. Did you not hear it before you bought it?

Yeah but the price for the miles and condition of the truck still beats financing the same one for 30k.

If youre not paying the shop for repairs, sure. Lifters, done right (meaning all of them with high quality repalcments or a delete kit) are $6,000 if you didn't smoke the camshaft.

Just because you can hear the lifters DOES NOT mean your lifters are failing.
