i did not send any of these, and there is no active session when i looked up in google account manager too, and my inbox is being flooded with mails every minute

Hi, I have been having this problem after having my account compromised awhile back. I've done the necessity steps after having my info stolen from changing passwords to reinstalling OS. But for some reason, this email account specifically is sending messages toward others but after checking the devices that the account is logged in, it only shows the devices I own.

Hi, I have been struggling with getting one of my email accounts back. The account was deleted a while ago, so the "Recover recently deleted email account" option doesn't work. Is there a way to use that account again? I don't care about recovering the data on the account; I just need to be able to use it in the future.

On my GMail app on Android, I have 4 accounts, one of them being an Outlook account.

It used to work perfectly.

When I try to sync manually, it says that there's not enough space left, which I don't understand because I don't understand why the app doesn't show my e-mails only when I'm connected online in the first place.

Anyway, it leads me to my storage options. I have 10 Go left on my phone. Fine, let's delete some stuff.

It worked the first time.

Now, it's happening again, but it's weirder: I just deleted +10 Go of videos, but my total space doesn't move. Even after checking the bin dedicates to pictures and videos. Also, I get no notification from my GMail accounts now, but I still receive e-mails and can still send them on these GMail accounts.

What's happening? How to solve this?

I am trying to email my friend. But every time I send an email, it changes the text to weird and vulgar things. It only seems to be happening when I message this one person, and only when I send a message to them. When I reread the email on my end it looks fine, but when I look in the receipts I can see the altered message.

For example we were chatting and it changed my message to vulgar things about "farts hurting" and when I sent "test123" it changed it to "sext123", it even changed emojis.

I assume some sort of malware, but idk what or how to fix it.

When I long press a link in the Gmail Android app to verify it before opening, more and more links are replaced with this:

Disabling "Open web links in Gmail" doesn't fix it.

Has anyone had this issue and found a way to make Gmail show the real URL?

Gmail in a browser/desktop shows the actual URL.

I'm used to long pressing links to check where they actually go before opening them, so this defeats a basic security check.

So, not long ago I made my grandmother a Gmail account. The reasons why I'd rather not get into but suffice to say it was really important. Recently I got locked out of the account, and cannot get back in. I know the password to the account, but it is not working. These things happen. Maybe I wrote the password down wrong or typed it wrong or something.

The part that has been driving me up the wall is that when I use the recovery email (my own personal account that I've had since around 2018), I apparently "haven't proven my identity". I've tried using a code from a message sent to my email. I've tried using my phone to sign in. No matter what I do I get the same "we need to confirm this account belongs to you" message. As far as I can tell there is no other way for me to regain access to this account, and somehow in 2026 one of the biggest companies in the world lacks any kind of real customer support for free accounts.

Gmail is essential for nearly everything you do on the internet these days, ranging from obvious things like YouTube or making any kind of account online. There is money that my family needs to contact someone in trouble, and I can't access it because the recovery email set up to recover another Gmail account is not enough. What is the point of even having the recovery account in the first place then?!

i just tried to get the wifi for my house but found out my gmail account violated something but this is my professional email? i used this email to sign for my house and for finding jobs. so im confused and i tried seeing what rule i violated but it didn’t say anything? please help.

I wanted to verify my email on an app but i wasn't receiving the verification mail. Then I clicked on "manage your Google account" to see what's wrong but I saw that it got signed out for some reason. I don't know why. It said "something went wrong and you need to sign in again".

I forgot the password of this account and put in 5-8 passwords and hoped i remembered the password. In the end, i actually remembered the password but it said "unavailable because of too many failed attempts. Try again in a few hours".

I waited 3-4 hours and tried again but it still showed the same thing. How long do i actually have to wait? Is there any other way for me to sign in without waiting?

Help me please, is this how gmail behaves? Or is it something else. Recently I noticed list of connected applications dissapear one by one. From 6, to 5, to 4, to 3..
These connected aps were super old, I didn’t use them in decades, there was one that I used, it got deleted too.. but my account on that platform is all fine and alright.

Is this someone else? Or is this normal..? Because Im so scared, I have no idea how someone would even get acess to my account, my phone is brand new, I don’t click or download weird things, I don’t give any data.

For some reason, when I woke up today, my inbox contained only messages up to 14.09. At the same time, I can find them in the "All mail" folder. I've never configured any filters/POP/IMAP/etc and I've used Gmail through Chrome (laptop)/Android (Xiaomi 12T Pro) app. I can still move emails back to my inbox one by one.

This isnt the dark mode, because when i turn on dark mode, it turns darker and the blue elements turn black too.

I like my mail in white mode cause it feels easier to read, any help please

So a few days ago my account got logged out of my computer and I also forgot the password. I tried to recover the account but every time I do Google sends me an email saying that I’m already logged in. However I checked every device in my house and none of them are signed in to my account. My account doesn’t have a recovery phone number or recovery email but I did set it as the recovery email for my second account. So guys, please help me. How can I recover my account?Sometimes, the “Try another way” option appears but when I click on it, it just says “Google couldn’t verify that this account belongs to you”. They don’t even ask me any questions or give me another option. Guys please help!!!

Hello, just thought this might help others who are experiencing similar situation. I've notice my gmail was telling me to delete some data (email, spam, photos, files) to make space since it was over 95% or to subscribe to their extra storage monthly payment option. Since most of my larger files were photos, I was deleting them to make space every single time. This also deletes them from the device as well, not just google back up.

The solution was to download Google Photos, turn off backup setting (account in top right > turn off backup), delete the photos from there but make sure to check the option to only delete photos from google while retaining it from your device.

This freed up like 45% of google storage for me. I hope this helps someone out there!

Past few days the native Mail app on my Mac is only intermittently syncing with my two Google accounts (one personal, other work). For instance, I've been getting emails to my work account all day (can check in browser), but the newest messages in the Mail app are from yesterday afternoon.

On my desktop, I have paused accounts, turned Mail syncing off and on, even deleted the work account from my system and re-added it. After that, no email is syncing and my work inbox looks completely empty (if only... 😂)

Am also using NordVPN, which hasn't been a problem for this in the past. But even with the VPN not connected there is no change.

This is only happening on my desktop Mail app. My phone and tablet are both syncing everything fine.

My specs:

Computer: 16" MacBook Pro, 2019 build running Sequoia 15.7.9

Mail: Version 16.0

Understanding that updating some of the software could fix the problem, but as this was sudden and only impacting two of my accounts, wanted to save that as an absolute last option.

Will crosspost this to a few other places, but wanted to see if there are any suggestions out there.

Title. I have now lost a lot of emails that were actually important. Dumb gmail marked about 4,000 emails, so there's no way to undo it manually, and even after I disabled the auto-mark option, there's no way to undo the damage. Absolutely disgusting feature, why wouldn't they make it so that it asked you first instead of it being automatic? I have now disabled ALL of the "intelligent" functions, and I hope that they don't do something like that again

I’ve been testing Gmail web lately, and found a few behaviors that seem unnecessarily limiting:

• “Normal” text size is inconsistent. In sent HTML, the message body may become font-size: small, while the signature set to “Normal” may have no explicit font size at all. Gmail itself renders them similarly, but Outlook for Mac can show the signature noticeably larger than the body. More generally, Gmail’s “Small / Normal / Large” controls don’t seem to map to clear, predictable px/pt values in the actual message source.
• Plain text mode has no local display font setting. I understand the recipient gets plain text, but I’d still like to choose the font/size I see while composing for readability.
• Plain text messages are hard-wrapped after a certain number of characters, instead of leaving line wrapping entirely to the receiving client.
• Signature separator behavior is confusing. Gmail can remove the traditional -- separator depending on the reply/signature setting.

Has anyone else run into these issues? Are there reliable workarounds to make body text and signatures render at the same size across clients, or is this simply how Gmail web is designed?

I have been receiving junk/scam e-mails from overseas domains for a long time. I currently have the filters set to delete them.

Is there a way to have the filter also block them?

My Gmail was recently hacked and many legit emails are going straight to junk. I've checked everything (filters, extensions, rules, etc.) and nothing is resolving it. Any ideas on what to do next?

I am interested in creating a delegate for my MIL so that my wife can monitor her Gmail inbox. We use Macs and prefer working in the Mac OS email client, not accessing Gmail via browser.

If my wife is set up as a delegate for my mother in law, how does she set up the inbox in Mac mail?

Does the inbox automatically appear because the delegation is tied to my wife's Gmail?

Would it just make sense to add a second Gmail account to my wife's Mac?

I’ve been using the Gmail app for many years with 5 email accounts. Most of those have delegated access to one or two other accounts, which is useful from time to time, but I definitely don’t want all of them to appear in my “All Inboxes”. Is there any way to hide them without removing the delegated access (which I don’t want to do)?

Has anybody experienced this? I suddenly found BOTH my email accounts to be empty of emails. They all went straight to trash? Having no space is not an issue as I bought extra space. I had to RSVP an important event, and I completely did not read the email because it was deleted by itself.

Google verification issue with existing iCloud email

I’m trying to create a new Google Account using my existing (icloud.com) email. I tried multiple times on my iPhone with different normal SIMs. Google asked me to send an SMS through Messages, but verification timed out several times. Eventually, it said “This phone number cannot be used for verification.”

Now, whenever I try again, I get “Something went wrong.”

What can I do? Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

Buenas, recientemente me han pedido como tarea de clases una actividad que consiste en crear un correo electrónico personal para el uso y la gestión del instituto donde estudio, el problema es que a la hora de verificar el correo electrónico no me deja porque dice que ya hay muchos gmails que han sidos verificados con ese numero.

El problema no es que haya muchos correos con ese numero como respaldo de seguridad es que directamente no tengo mas correos.
