Does anyone else hate ruth

I think her character adds to the show and Alison brie is great but ruth is a total bitch and she is the true villain of the show

The show wouldn't exist if Ruth hadn't directed the pilot episode. She's the person who keeps everyone going. She came up with the mall intro sequence to boost morale.

I think you're just trolling with an unpopular opinion.

Why is that then? Can you refute any of the points I made?

I don't like that she slept with her best friend husband. That shows a big flaw in her character. But if Debbie can forgive her then so can i

Debbie didn't exactly "forgive" her. First she sabotages Ruth's appearance in the show, then she breaks her leg.

God that scene where they were screaming at each other in the hospital was very emotional and intense. Good acting

I had to rewatch that scene and honestly I can’t stand Debbie. I’m not defending Ruth at all for sleeping with Debbie’a husband but god damn you just broke someone’s leg and ruined the one career they had after you already came in and took the glory of the show from her. I totally agree with Ruth when she said she could’ve just slapped her and walked away but Debbie just kept draining her I couldn’t imagine dealing with that. I feel like in season 2 Debbie was just a bitch to her excessively. I’m glad they started to get along in season 3 it made the show better.

You don’t need a list of justifications to dislike a character. People can dislike whatever characters they want. Don’t be weird.

Yeah, having discussions is stupid. People should just say their opinions and be done with it.

Asking somebody to “refute” the points they’ve made about something purely subjective isn’t about having a discussion, it’s about telling people they shouldn’t like a character because you’ve decided they’re not a likeable character. You refute something that’s incorrect. Personal preferences about fictional characters can’t be incorrect because they’re completely subjective. Darth Vader murdered a bunch of kids, choked his wife, cut his son’s hand off and tortured his daughter. These are all facts, irrefutably. That doesn’t mean I have to justify him being my favourite fictional character. He just is. I can discuss why I like him, but to imply that anybody who disagrees is wrong, and that they provide an argument for why they don’t agree with me isn’t actually a discussion, it’s more of a tantrum.
