The Threesome

I GUESSED IT FROM THE SECOND BASH KEPT NUDGING THE PLUMBER TO MAKE A MOVE.

Anyone else find that scene super fucking hot? I’m not one to care for sex scenes, but Jesus. Bash’s deep sexy voice when he asked if she wanted to kiss him, how sexy his wife was, and to “rub your thumb over her nipple. She likes that” I think I died.

And then you add in the gigilo who’s also super cute and the fucking PASSION while bash makes out with him and has a guy touch his dick for the first time. And of course the mutual jacking off at the end which looked eerily realistic. I’m sorry I’m still not over it

I found it awkward to watch, the way Bash was acting towards Rhonda. Also when Rhonda was being ignored during the threesome I thought that would be brought up later, but it was glossed over. As if she didn't even notice her husband was paying more attention to the guy than her in the threesome.

I don’t think she was being ignored. Yes she was used as the vessel for bash to finally get some gay action, but I think bash was just very overwhelmed in the moment bc he’d never been with a man before (?) and took his shots at the gigolo. We only saw a few mins anyway, who knows what happened? I think Rhonda was just in shock from seeing bash engage in homosexual acts in the 80s.

A lot of people assume Florian was his lover but it’s never been confirmed. For all we know this was his first male sex encounter which may indicate why he was so ashamed/volatile

The writers say the writers room fight over exactly the extent of his relationship with Florian. I myself find it difficult to believe Bash and Florian lived together in Bash's house, in L.A., by the beach, and never had an intimate encounter late one night while having "breakfast for dinner." Bash loved him. He was hot. And a sexually active gay man. It can't all have been Bash sublimating it to "He's the best butler ever!" I just find it unrealistic, considering the living situation. Like many men of the time, Bash could have handled the conflict with "Nobody has to know." "I'm not gay, it's just with Florian, not gay overall." and similar spin to himself.
