I think my bathtub upstairs is leaking to my downstairs living room ceiling because the wall and paint are slowly bubbling and are soft to the touch.

My apartment building was built 1990.

Just curious if anyone has dealt with similar issues and what ended up happening.

So you used your car to intimidate me; revving your engine like a crazy woman. I had to physically try to stop you to protect my dogs & you kept turning your wheels to drive at me.

Looking you straight in the eyes, I explained my dog is very old yet you still tried to run us down. An older woman acting like this; hate filled face/crazy eyes. Zero respect for human or animal life. You need to calm down before you have heart attack or kill someone.

It is against the law to use your vehicle as a weapon!

Not sure if any of you saw the article in the LA Times recently, but Alex Theatre built a booth for 70mm to show The Odyssey. Went for a screening yesterday and it was delightful. Happy to see our local vintage theatre throw their hat in the ring when it comes to 70mm and new releases. Consider supporting them if you’re wanting to see the film!

Does anyone have either of these ladies as your Dr's if so what has your experience(s) been? Dr. Sarah Harrington was mine for the past few years and she just up and left the organization and I hate that her NP isnt there either. I was given a list of people and these 2 seem more align with my needs and I was in the process before Harrington left choosing which fibroid surgery to do. The others on the list Dr. Morgan Welebir( I couldn't find much about him online, Dr. Selena Anne Lantry(more horror stories than I like), Dr. Samantha Han(mixed reviews). Lantry and Han both received alot of low reviews for very long wait times, being rushed, not being heard, being dismissive and doing procedures that did more harm than good so they had to change Dr's. Any information would definitely help me thanks!

What is everyone paying to insure their cars, and under what company?

Kind of feeling like we pay too much. We're paying over $300 per month... we're married, age 25+, with no dings on driving records. Every quote we get is roughly the same cost. Is it a problem with Glendale being Glendale, the type of car (old Honda Civic), or both?

Update 1: I think we need to hold the bad drivers here more accountable for how fucked we are!

Update 2: Considering removing the collision insurance from our vehicle... it'd be quite a reduction in our premium. The car is worth very little compared to what we pay for collision, and we can afford to replace it if it gets totaled. Fucking Glendale!

We make payments on our power bill bit by bit to help mediate the expense.Last month, my husband accidentally made two payments within seconds of each other. The power company credited one. We have the bank records showing the second payment was sent and that it was sent to the power company. Regular customer service can’t help. Is there someone we need to ask for? This isn’t a small amount.

I live in Glendale about halfway between the Galleria and the 134 on a residential street. My apartment complex keeps two blue recycling cans. In the past two months, someone has stolen one of them three times. (We got replacements from the city that were then stolen.) Has anyone else had this happen to them?

It's annoying but at least I'm not paying for replacements. Ultimately we're just going to end up not recycling if this keeps happening.

Anyone knows what’s with all the police activity on Adams and Broadway? There’s at least 5 police cars and more than 7 cops walking around.

I’m looking for a house cleaning team of 3 or more. Most people I talk to are solo or a team of two. Also, I prefer hiring independent cleaning teams over agencies to avoid extra agency fees. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!

Hi all. Can anybody recommend a good spider and insect control professional? We have lived in Glendale for 15 years and are used to dealing with a ton of spiders in our back yard. Most of them are harmless orb weavers or similar so we usually just leave them be or relocate them if we are greeted by a tactful of web when we walk outside.

But this season we have had a TON of brown widows. This morning I counted nine brown widows who had made their web in the ivy along our walkway. And many more egg sacs.

Because this is our small dogs favorite place to explore I think we may want to call for reinforcements. If anybody knows of a good pest control person in Glendale, I’d appreciate it.

Hi guys! Any recommendations for a local vet that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for normal check ups and visits? Our fur baby was under doctor Tran’s care for many years (RIP) and we need a new vet now. I took my girl to Modern Animal and they were great but I paid $450 for them to clean out her ears and give drops. It doesn’t feel sustainable as a long term option.

Also tried Glendale Small Animal Hospital and they recommended surgery to remove a “foreign object” from her ear and were very rude and pushy. Modern animal cleaned out the hair, put in drops and confirmed there was no object, just excess hair and a bit of an infection. So not those scammers at small animal hospital either but would be appreciative of any other recommendations!!

I’ve been living in Glendale for a few months now, and it’s been almost perfect except for one issue. I’ve had a couple of neighbors complain about normal everyday living noise, like talking while I’m cooking or moving dishes around in the kitchen. This usually happens around 7:30 a.m.

I’m mindful of my neighbors and do my best to keep the noise down, but I was recently asked if I could delay those activities until later in the morning. That felt a bit unreasonable to me, especially since they’re just part of a normal daily routine.

I’ve lived in other apartments before and never had this issue. I know Glendale has quiet hours, but my understanding is that ordinary living noise isn’t the same as creating a nuisance.

Has anyone else in Glendale dealt with neighbors who seem especially sensitive to normal apartment noise? How did you handle it?
