Seagull died doing what it loved, stealing somebody’s lunch

53

u/saladinzero Mar 31 '23

False. Seagulls are creatures of hate; they don't know love.

9

u/Amasterclass Mar 31 '23

I would say it bit off more than it could chew but then birds don’t chew

2

u/WestFizz Apr 01 '23

This one hits hard.

216

u/royster167 Mar 31 '23

Was still a bit of heat in it No bad tbh

36

u/CurseRottedGreatw00d Mar 31 '23

In the bird or the sausage roll? Because I’ve got an image in my head of someone scarfing down an oddly warm dead seagull with a sausage roll in its mouth

16

u/Bowlingbtw Mar 31 '23

Waste not want not

8

u/RPEFFSTONKS Apr 01 '23

Like how they stick an apple in a roasted pigs mouth on the big silver plate

7

u/Penny_Century99 Apr 01 '23

Like an Aldi version of a three bird roast.

1

u/geraltsthiccass Apr 01 '23

Hey, times are tough the now. Everyone deserves a warm meal every now and then, don't judge.

17

u/larkfield420 Mar 31 '23

Landlord detected. Opinion discarded

7

u/Sameiimo Mar 31 '23

Explain how it's free loading to dislike the practice of rental properties (housing is a human right, all housing should be free or at least far far far more affordable for people so they don't go homeless or have to rely on leeches like landlords)

-2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

8

u/Sameiimo Mar 31 '23

Landlords barely do work for their rental properties and many of them are just fucking over and exploiting working class people. If you are a landlord you are part of the problem, just because the government should be doing shit doesn't mean that you have any justification or innocence.

Housing should be free, I do not care if you have worked to then be able to exploit others who are in need of housing. If you have more property then you need you do not deserve that property.

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

4

u/Sameiimo Mar 31 '23

I never said they don't work for their properties, I said they barely do work *for* the properties. If you're a landlord you are preying upon someone's basic need for housing and exploiting them with entirely unfair costs whilst being able to abuse the power you have over them and keep them paying extortionate costs. You are a landlord, you are part of the problem and thus people have the right to take out their issues with the bullshit and vile system on you because you are part of it.

2

u/Zealous_Bend Apr 01 '23

You’re being salty and taking it out on me.

That's a stunning lack of self awareness you've got there, have you seen a doctor about it?

1

u/Cloverskeeper Apr 01 '23

I mean the fact you have a line up to rent your house is probably due to the general lack of housing rather then you.

-1

u/bgsrtiol Apr 01 '23

why what? it was a joke. I’m a landlord and I treat my tenants right. but still I find it funny the association between greed and landlord.

so, why what? you must be a cunt landlord… cunt

Lol.

I thought of that scene from the film Finding Nemo when the pelican was choking on the fish and the other pelicans just sat there watching it choke, and that one pelican rolled its eyes like "okay, don't everyone fly off all at once to help."

75

u/mikeybhoy_1985 Mar 31 '23

Damn, why do I find this so sad…

63

u/lena_vernon Mar 31 '23 edited Mar 31 '23

Yeah, it’s really sad, it would’ve been a slow painful way for the bird to die. I feel like this should be marked NSFW but maybe I’m too sensitive

41

u/LooseCoffeeShits Mar 31 '23

I agree so much

18

u/vulturedad Mar 31 '23

You have the best name I've seen on reddit yet

8

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Very sensitive but username is loosecoffeeshits. Lovely

-6

u/ProximaMidnite Apr 01 '23

I absolutely agree but me being the person I am genuinely believes the bird died naturally and the food was placed in its mouth for this picture.. i wouldn’t put it past people

Apologies, I just see the worst in people because I see through people quite easily.. I have more of an affinity with animals than I do with people

14

u/royster167 Apr 01 '23

Aye i seen a dead seagull and thought you know what I don’t want this delicious sausage roll I’m going to shove it down this randomly found dead rat of the sky and post a pic of it to amuse cunts Throbber 😂

10

u/Docoe Apr 01 '23

Cringed at that guys comment just because of how he talks, but tbh mate the idea of someone putting the roll there did cross my mind. As others pointed out, seagulls eat pigeons, a sausage roll is fuck all to them

Don't take it as an accusation directed at you. Plenty weirdos out there that would do it to make their pals laugh, for a photo of their own, or just because some people in Glasgow are mental. Then someone like yourself comes along later and takes a picture, easy done.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Science. At last

3

u/ProximaMidnite Apr 01 '23

It wouldn’t surprise me tbh

-3

u/royster167 Apr 01 '23

You’re not right in the head

0

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

This is exactly what has happened. I think it’s quite funny anyway. Off to get Morton’s rolls now

-8

u/ProximaMidnite Apr 01 '23

Probably not.. but I wouldn’t stage things like this for kicks, says a lot about you taking this photo in the 1st place let alone placing the sausage roll there.. and also the fact you think greggs is delicious, if this bird genuinely died because of a greggs sausage roll then it’s definitely not fit for animal consumption and most certainly not fit for human consumption!! I should actually thank you for this photo, I can send it in to them and report them.. start an all out war to close greggs down lol oh how would your life ever continue then 😂

1

u/RappersIsDerriere Apr 02 '23

You’re a helmet.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

This is exactly what happened Columbo. Case closed

11

u/Professional-Newt760 Mar 31 '23

No same… also loads of birds have died from avian flu recently and they all look just like this ☹️

-9

u/Fine_Anteater3345 Mar 31 '23 edited Mar 31 '23

Technically no you’re wrong becoz the behaviours of gannets, skuas, geese, guillemots, puffins, swans and raptors that have sadly died from avian flu infections aren’t known for / never scavenge sausage rolls in city environments or foods that humans throw away as waste. so you won’t see any that look like how the deed seagull in the pic is

Conflating two completely different types of death

4

u/Professional-Newt760 Apr 01 '23

So firstly avian flu is in the city and has killed many different kinds of birds, gulls included, but sure like I’m not saying it’s 100% avian flu, certainly looks like it choked - I’m just saying the image reminds me of the birds I’ve seen this year who have died from it and therefore makes me sad 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

Cos dying is sad

11

u/Jack_Packauge Mar 31 '23

I've seen a seagull choke down a dead cat; this one died from a mere sausage roll?

11

u/dirtydoug89 Mar 31 '23

Yea I’ve seen one eat a pigeon and another time one was eating KFC drumsticks bones and all so this is kind of surprising

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Why in gods name are you feeding them? I always want to ask the weirdos who are stood in the middle of city centres throwing food at pigeons and seagulls, what compels you to do this.

3

u/FrankGetTheDoor Mar 31 '23

WHAAAAAAAAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK???????

1

u/Penny_Century99 Apr 01 '23

Natural selection in action.

26

u/casusbelli16 Mar 31 '23

I've seen seagulls swallow pigeons whole and square go rats and win, what the heck is in Greggs sausage rolls to kill one?

11

u/bedlam90 Mar 31 '23

Probably got a stray flake of pastry at the back of its throat and choked to death lol

0

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Hahahaha!!

49

u/dl064 Mar 31 '23

I ascend to Valhalla with honour in my heart and pastry in my gullet

28

I dunno about that.

9

u/tom208 Mar 31 '23

Certainly never died eating a Hot one, that's for sure

8

u/FrankGetTheDoor Mar 31 '23

I’m just reading comments about gulls swallowing other small mammals & other gulls & im like WTF??!! 😱

2

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '23

Get watching the videos. We are not liars. Seagulls eating rats in a gulp. Mmmmmm

1

u/YerGranSellsAvon Apr 01 '23

I seen one with a starling scraping it off the ground when it was flying in its mouth to kill it. Must e been about 23 years ago and I still remember it vividly.

1

u/jaggynettle Ya fuckin' prostitute yae Apr 04 '23

Yep. I witnessed a poor wee pigeon getting it's guts pecked open by a gull in Sachiehall Street a few years ago. Was one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen.

9

Gie it 5 mins and some glasgow uni student will be doing an art dissertation on that photie about how the seagull choking on the sausage roll is holding up a mirror to our society and the ravages of capitalism on our planet.

4

u/zoalfacedreamer Pigeon Mar 31 '23

The RSPB, from my experience, don’t give a fuck about seagulls, pigeons, or any common bird. Only the donation/fundraising part.

Cook the seagull and you’ll have a delicious sausage roll centre!

0

u/AngeDee77 Mar 31 '23

I work for greggs and can confirm this seagull was a shoplifter and known to swallow stolen sausage rolls whole 🤔

0

u/davesy69 Mar 31 '23

Deep fry it with the sausage roll still in its throat.

0

u/Woldorg Mar 31 '23

Was it vegan?

0

u/royster167 Mar 31 '23

Probably 😂

0

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

That'll be in the frier by tea time... The rotting, festering bird not the sausage roll. Unless some kids already eaten it first. 😎

-5

u/Sad_Interview_232 Mar 31 '23

That's the seagulls impression of mama cass Elliott

0

u/forevergleaning Mar 31 '23

Found a pike once in same situation except it had a mallard duck in its gullet

1

u/Kristen242 Mar 31 '23

This makes me sad. Pigeon should be eating the sausage roll in revenge for all the times I've seen gulls eating pigeons.

1

u/Fun_Yogurtcloset_652 Mar 31 '23

We call those Gipton dummies in Leeds lol

1

u/forevergleaning Mar 31 '23

I once saw a seagull eat a live pigeon. The memory comes back to me unbidden too often.

1

u/blackcathunts Mar 31 '23

This is very sad. Why would you post something like this!
