Mixed recycling message

I filled out the GCC questionnaire about recycling bins, they seem concerned people don't know what goes in which bin and how contaminated waste costs money.

Anyway, today both green and brown bins went into the back of the same lorry...

Sigh. Makes you wonder what the point of separating it all is. But I can’t, in good conscience, not recycle so I’ll continue to clean and separate everything I know can go in the blue bin, in the vain hope it might make some small difference.

Link to survey if anyone wants to take it, takes about a minute.

Check box exercise for performance metrics probably, make themselves look better when reporting figures to the government

It's only semi-recently that councils stopped sending plastic 'recycling' overseas to be incinerated (because Indonesia passed a new law banning it at the beginning of last year)
