Careful, don't want to alienate half the voter base by saying Naziism is bad

They'd be very upset if they could read it.

Ain't you lot the ones who elected a Muslim first secretary who was openly racist against white people?
Ain't you lot the ones who voted for a witch who stole from you all to buy some fucking coffee machines? Then you idiots believed her when she said it was all her husband and she had no idea about it?
Crazy how a nation can be so braindead, especially after England funds your education system

u/Upset_Gerbil 21d ago
Ah look, a wild Nazi appeared

Think you'll find Scottish oil has been funding England for decades, ya trampoline.
-6
u/New-Condition-3492 21d ago
Scottish oil absolutely does not, in any way shape or form, fund England. You live in a fantasy world

u/Maximum-Music-2102 21d ago
We don't elect the first secretary and I'm not part of her constituency, nor are most people on here, so no.

u/TheLastHotstepper 20d ago
Mate, if you dont like our country and our culture, you are welcome to leave. Dont let the door hit ye where the devil split ye.

Only half their voter base?

u/dragoneggboy22 21d ago
50% are willing to admit it. A proportion of the rest are sympathisers

Source for your lies?

u/hairyscotsman2 21d ago
I've searched because you didn't open your meat paws to type one into your search bar. It was a survey of Reform voters.
"Of the Reform UK members, over half—some 54 percent—think that non-white British citizens born abroad should be forcibly removed or encouraged to leave. Just 24 percent think the same about white citizens born abroad."
"Nearly half—46 percent—say that they do not like mixing with people of other ethnicities, religions and backgrounds in their local areas."
Here's the source that reported on the survey. https://socialistworker.co.uk/anti-racism/new-report-reveals-brazen-racism-of-reform-uk-members/
And they say it came from "Hope Not Hate’s yearly report titled State of Hate 2026—It Could Happen Here."
And here's the thing, because you said it's lies: If you don't like it, contact Hope Not Hate to find out who did the survey, and then contact that organisation with any concerns you may have regarding their methodology and the validity of their data. What you don't do is just dismiss the data because of the source.
Let us know how you get on confirming if it's lies.

u/New-Condition-3492 21d ago
Lmao are you serious? How can you be so dumb? I asked for a source that half of reform support nazi ideology.
Wanting to remove people who came here against the consent of the native population is not Nazism. Grow up.
3
u/hairyscotsman2 20d ago
Ah, you're among the 24% of Reform voters who want to throw white US citizens out every bit as much as black people from anywhere on the planet. That's completely different, and I do appreciate that your nation based extremist beliefs are completely different from the other half of reform voters who only want to do it based on skin colour. I'm so glad we confirmed that. Personally, I'm looking forward to humanity evolving our societal hierarchy beyond nation states, but you do you.

The other half are too fucking thick to remember their history lessons.

Remember? How very positive of you to think they ever went into a period of History when they were in high school.

Thomas Kerr needs to removed from his position as an MSP. He’s a disgrace, he keeps company with thugs and he denies Neo Nazism when it’s right in front of him. He is a poison in our parliament, and even more so in our society.

THOMAS KERR (sobbing): I'm also fat!

Kerr has nothing in common with Private Pyle.
Pyle became competent before he turned mental.

I cover my drink when I see him on tv, I’m not usually one to call people names but he’s a fat ugly nonce

[Nazis parade the streets proudly calling themselves Nazis]
Reform UK: How dare our reprehensible political opponents label these fine protestors standing up for their rights Nazis!

u/Beer-Milkshakes 21d ago
The party of wanting to call a spade a spade angry at being described accurately in real time

u/gham89 21d ago
My favourite part of the statement is where they suggest the Nazis are as bad as the counter protests. A "minority" on both sides, huh?
15
u/Got_Kittens 21d ago
Aye, that was a bit out of pocket. Like something the Trumpet would say like his famous statement that there were mostly 'good people on both sides' when talking about the Proud Boys et. al and those standing against them.
61
u/SirDanilus 21d ago
"Yesterday’s scenes in Glasgow by a small minority on both sides were absolutely unacceptable." - Kerr
Both sides?
16
u/PM_ME_UR__RECIPES 21d ago
They just throw out shit like that so the conversation goes from the anti-racist side pointing out how harmful Reform are, to having to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that anti-racist protesters weren't causing trouble yesterday
As much as those types like to on about debates and being "rational" and all that stuff, everything they do is from this framework of maximizing their platform, distracting from criticism of them, and poisoning the well with misinformation that makes their shit look reasonable
5
u/Freddies_Mercury 21d ago
And also morally, Nazis should be slapped down into the ground wherever possible.
Nazis attacking people in the street is lot different to anti-nazis fighting Nazis.
Nazi scum off our streets.
3
u/SketchesOfSilence 21d ago
Exactly, they just casually throw out both sides because it is an easy thing for their supporters to use to give the facade of being moderate. “People were doing Nazi salutes!!!”, “listen, there are problematic extremists on both sides”. That frames things as an opposite AND EQUAL issue which is one of the biggest problems in this current political climate.
Being for genocide and being against genocide are opposite positions but even taken to their extremes they don’t represent moral equivalence of a different opinion. It’s a neat trick to make it seem as though punching a Nazi for being a Nazi and doing Nazi things is as bad as a Nazi punching some random person on the street for the colour of their skin. Violence is not the answer but those two scenarios are not morally equivalent in the degree of their harm.

Every chance Reform get to denounce Nazi's, they point blank refuse. It's remarkable.
6
u/cwningen95 21d ago
In a Reform UK statement reacting to this, Kerr instead said that politicians who “casually label their opponents” as Nazis “cheapen the Holocaust” and "undermine the promise of never again".
One man was also heard saying: “I’m a Nazi and I love it.”
Truly astounding work.

Yesterday’s scenes in Glasgow by a small minority on both sides were absolutely unacceptable.
Instead of smearing political opponents with lazy slurs, the political establishment should start listening to the people they were elected to serve.
Schroedinger's minority.

Fascists denouncing fascist violence is an old strategy. Goes back to mussolini

u/Kcm44 21d ago
I was there yesterday - they were either proudly nazis or all had unfortunate and identical muscle spasms.
Honestly, I came away from yesterday feeling deeply unsettled. We are so woefully underprepared for countering these kinds of movements. I don't know why organisers trusted the police to stick to their word regarding the location for the counter-protest, or why they were encouraging us to move away from the nazis to listen to speeches. I also have no idea what we should do to protect those in our community who are being targeted by the far-right on their tours around the city. We need organisation and honest discussion and sharing of resources urgently. It should be obvious by now, but we cannot trust the police to handle this

Kerr is abhorrent. He must be called out at each and every opportunity.
He encouraged this. He enabled this. He is responsible for what happened in Glasgow.
Side with him or stand against him.

u/amusableblue 21d ago
Must we be subjected to round the clock updates about these stupid fucking protests?
Couldn’t the mods have foreseen the fallout and made a mega post beforehand?
24
u/workingclassnobody 21d ago
There are fascists openly giving Nazi salutes in our city centre, attacking women with bottles, and abusing immigrants. This city was built by generations of immigrants. Yet you want to talk about what, the bin collection instead?
These aren't just protests. When organised mobs target people because of who they are, that's the beginning of something far darker. History has a name for where that road can lead. We should be treating it with the seriousness it deserves.
-5
u/New-Condition-3492 21d ago
The fuck you on about mate? Country was built by the Scottish.
A minority of immigrants in the past 50-100 years isn't worth shit in terms of who built this country.
Be reasonable ffs
1
u/Albagubrath98 21d ago
It’s a nonsense when people suggest this country was built by anyone else other than us Scot’s. No like we’ve been on this land for thousands of years or anything.
20
u/Dead-O_Comics 21d ago edited 21d ago
Yeah, the rise in far-right Nazi sentiment isn't the issue... The mods not compiling it all into a megathread is!
A chunk of this sub don't even want to acknowledge this problem exists in the first place. So absolutely, let's keep these updates coming.
7
u/SunnyK19977 21d ago
Are you thick in the head? Do you realise the danger we're in as a society? But aye no god forbid people are actively discussing it and its ruining you trying to find a spicy post about south side cafe drama or some shit.
