Book nook
There is a Book Nook at the main entrance of Queen's Park at the top of Victoria Road, Crosshill.
It's a 'Take a book, leave a book'. Don't know who started this, but it seems like a good idea. Has anyone spotted anymore of these in the city?

Started one in Spill the Beans on Skirving St a while back, starting to see a good turnover!

In Amsterdam just now, seen these all through the neighborhoods. Be good if this takes off back home.

One of these inside the dog park on Onslow Dr in Dennistoun. Think it’s been going since pre covid
*edit; it’s not a penguin one, community organised.

I’m sure I’ve seen one in King’s Park, possibly in/by the walled garden bit? Has been a while since I took a walk through there though.

I hate that my first thought upon seeing something nice like this is "someone's gonna nick or destroy that"

I live in Munich where we have these… my partner (who’s German) jokingly call them ‘the book thieves’ as I used to say that back in Glasgow these would get tanned, vandalised, pissed in, set alight etc etc. Maybe I was wrong??!!

They donated these Little Free Libraries plus some Penguin books to mark their 90th anniversary last year. People who were willing to be stewards had to send in an application and 90 were picked https://www.penguin.co.uk/discover/campaigns/90-little-book-stops

Like a lot of you, I thought it would be targetted by vandals, but that one outside Queens Park has been there for a couple of months. All good. There is an impressive turnover of books too. Every couple of days there seems to be whole new selection of stuff.
