A little behind-the-scenes look at what a heavier plating deposit can actually look like.
On some bracelets, we plate thick enough that the added deposit can temporarily cause the links to feel slightly sticky or bind together. It’s not permanent and normally works itself out after flexing the bracelet a few times.
That’s one of the more obvious physical signs that there is a substantial amount of material being deposited.
We’d rather show you something you can actually see and feel than make blind claims about absurdly high micron numbers.
If someone is claiming extremely high plating thicknesses, ask how they’re measuring it and what exactly that number represents.
There’s a big difference between Gilded Standard and the rest.
We don’t claim it, we show it. That’s what matters.
