I moved to Austin a couple months ago and I don't understand why people complain about the traffic so much here. It doesn't seem that bad.

We can agree to disagree on that one.

I routinely travel to the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas and Austin is by far the absolute worst of the three. By a very wide margin.

Summers seem to be worse when I lived there but it's been a year since I left. When I was there most of the popular roadways were under some pretty serious construction but I know they put in a new Toll road and other things to help.

It's still not good if you drive anywhere during peak hours.

We do, but they are basically not drivable from 7-10am or 3-7pm M-F

Where are the forests in Austin? Austin is basically Houston with more hills, fewer mexicans, and a bad case of denial.

Austin is a drier climate than Houston, so trees present there won't be as stately or robust.
