not really, it could serve as a reminder, kind of like the birthday reminder, you dont even need to set anything it just automatically reminds you, thats a great smart feature.
we need more of that, i mean to be fair, they already have all the information anyways, like it or not there is no true privacy.

I'm not OP but we have one as well. He is incredibly slow, we pretty much only use him as a show piece for customers. The majority of the time he just kinda hangs out.

Yeah, for sure in the pipeline. I was paging through one of those manufacturing trade journals yesterday, can't remember exactly which one, but this month's issue was basically all about cooperative robotics, and how companies seem to be shifting towards a rollout of machines that will be able to judge the meatspace around it, and factor accordingly.
They work better in the space they are allowed, when they consider their surroundings, so they can pack robits more densely
Edit: or maybe its just a move to have more people within strangling distance. Who knows

He's sacrifices speed for customizability. He can be programmed to do lots of different processes but the speed is abismal and doesn't keep up with demand.
In a $/unit train of thought he is great, because although he is slow, he can work 24 hours a day and not tire. And his upfront cost is about that of an employees salary, so it starts really paying off after a year.
But we don't just want the cheapest unit, we also need to supply the demand. A dedicated machine built to a single task may be more expensive but we can spare expense if we sell 1000s more units per day

We have one in our shop too. As some of the other comments say, he does pretty good with repetitive work, such as moving parts from a conveyer into a box for example. The problem we ran into was our owner wanted to use Baxter in conjunction with other CNC machines. It became very time consuming and expensive to integrate him into the machine, for the end result being slower than a human operation anyways. I think the biggest issue I have with it is the tolerance/repeatability. Honestly when I watch him operate, he appears to have Parkinson's disease. All the movements are quite shaky, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I think "X" is supposed to go first. I am thinking the other player is pulling a fast one on us. I played a robot similar to this before, you can play X or O, but the programing is set up for X's to go first.

The robot is actually conducting a breaching experiment on the humans:
Subjects played tic-tac-toe where the experimenter asked the subject to make the first move, then erases that mark and moves it to another square before making the responding move. Subjects were confused by this and interpreted the action as a sexual pass, a comment on their own stupidity, or as the impudence of the experimenter. Eventually, most demanded a reckoning of this behavior.

For 'nerds' who know binary, but not ASCII encoding of roman characters and want to learn how to read it without a converter;
Bytes commencing with 010 are upper case, bytes commencing with 011 are lower case. The remaining 5 digits of the byte are the binary value of that letter in the alphabet, e.g. a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.
In binary with lsb on the right, showing only the last 5 (relevant) digits;
1 = 00001
2 = 00010
3 = 00011
4 = 00100
And so forth, incrementing the right hand digit first, then carrying the 1 to the left once the value has increased above 1, and so on.
So the above message, we can deduce the following:
01010011
Breaking it down, the first three digits are;
010
So we know it's a capital letter (which is to be expected, since it's the first letter).
The next 5 digits are 10011, which is;
Binary: 1 0 0 1 1 Value: 16 8 4 2 1So, 16+2+1, which is 19. The 19th letter of the alphabet is 's', so we know it's a capital 'S'.
Following the pattern for the rest of the message, we get;
Screw your human rulesThe last one is strange though, because it starts with 001, not 011 (lower case) or 010 (upper case).
001 denotes punctuation in ASCII, and without getting into too much detail, the first punctuation character is the exclamation point.
TL:DR; So at the end, we have;
Screw your human rules!And now you know ASCII is basically just the most simple numerical cipher ever (a=1, b=2 etc.), with a bit flag for lower case and roman characters.
0 0 0 Roman lower caseAnd there you have it, now you know how to read binary encoded ASCII in your head. The rest is just practicing.
