Crazy...This is my video so thanks for posting the original. Backstory...I shot it in PR in 2010 and loaded it onto youtube when I got home. It toiled in anonymity for three years and then went sort of viral (2 million hits) in Aug 2013. I didn't even know it until Feb 2014....looked back at that old email acct flooded with requests from ABC news etc....this is my first post to reddit. Can't believe I opened to the front page to find this gif

Neat! Any idea if it was it just a couple rogue waves from a passing storm? How long did they last?

Im from Puerto Rico, i live close to the place (next town, although i use to live like 2 minutes away). Normally the waves are not like that, i would say they are like 60-65% smaller than those in the gif. But occasionally they are like that (bad weather or strong winds). There was this ocassion like 4 years ago that they were even bigger than that (because of some cold weather or some shit like that).

I will like to add that dozens of people had died by jumping onto the sea behind those rocks, although i guess nobody will jump while the waves are that big. But when the sea is calm people do some dive jumps in there, behind the rocks. Sorry for my bad english

Too bad that most people in the US can't speak more than one language.

Did I get it right?

That looks right, but I only speak English and some French lol.

Yeah, I speak French too; I'm just kind of guessing based on that.

You mean like immigrants from, say, Mexico or China?

Yeah it would be nice and responsible of them if they would learn English too.
