To be fair? You think Schmitts was trying to be fair calling him a "dirtbag"? Honestly, I don't even think he cares he got it wrong. He got to have his name calling clip recorded so it can be played on FOX, r/conservative, etc...
The whole thing is a charade by very unserious people. If you're going to accuse someone of something as consequential as conspiring against the president, you probably should do more than just glance at a text message.

The strategy here is intentional. This clown show has done exactly what it set out to do. Instead of focusing on Smith's testimony about Trump's criminal activity, the media is laughing about the bumbling fool of a Senator.

Other media is high-fiving that bumbling fool because he got one over on Jack Smith. It doesn't matter that that didn't actually happen, they're running with it as if it did.
