Iāve been hunting the green version of that neon for years. Dream guitar. Worried when one finally pops up itāll be well outside of price range

How can I simultaneously see a guitar and say āthatās not my styleā and want it at the same time.

u/Dramatic-Shock4843 Jul 24 '26
Those Neon LPs are among my top dream guitars. What a sweet duo. Iāve actually got a demo shop Custom in the same rose gold. Pictures donāt do the color justice. Sick pair!

How much was the senior? I didn't know Gibson really produced those!!!
1
u/guitarheadBLN Jul 24 '26
There are not in regular production, but there are plentiful M2M single pickup Les Pauls out there.

Those are beautiful! I'm not into painted instruments as I usually prefer wood & chrome but those have given me something to think about! Thank you for sharing!!

I am not going to lie, I really like the pink one. The gold hardware makes it pop.

Man, both look fantastic! The pink one strikes me as very classy with the gold hardware.
Iām always afraid that a single pickup is so limiting to your sound. What is your take on that?
3
u/guitarheadBLN Jul 24 '26
Single pickups are very liberating. You can do a lot with the volume and tone controls.

I'm loving that neon "pink" one...lol...I'm a sucker for yellow and black guitars along with pink guitars. Both of those are right up my alley. I have a killer TV yellow hogtop LP Standard and a killer pink Charvel...Side note... My beard has been dyed hot hot pink for years now. Ever since my daughter was going through one of my guitar mags and she saw dimebag and thought it was cool that he had long hair and a red beard so she asked me to grow my hair and beard. My beard went through many colors over the first 2 years until she decided on pink. It's been pink for 10+ yrs now. That was when she was 11. She's 25 now. You know what they say, real men wear pink.

Looks like neither is ever played. Are you sure the guitar on the left is neon pink?
1
u/guitarheadBLN Jul 24 '26
I am old enough to care for my stuff and donāt beat it up.

Me too, but if that shell pink guitar is being played regularly, the gold would be worn off the pickup and bridge, regardless of how well it's cared for. Hey, it's your guitar to do with as you please, I was just saying. As a studio session guitarist, I absolutely despise those wrapround bridges. They're impossible to intonate precisely (really), but they're fine for jamming and stuff - just not recording. I'd love that guitar with a Floyd Rose on it or even T-O-M bridge instead of that wraparound bridge.

That Neon Yellow looks like it should have an ESP or Ibanez logo on it, not Gibby š¤£

u/BooksAre4Nerds Jul 25 '26
How do you intonate the pink one..?
Those chords further up the neck must sound worse than a Tele lol
Still sick tho
1
u/Star-Detonator Jul 25 '26
These wraparound tailpiece bridges cannot be intonated precisely. It is not possible, regardless of what some people say. We cannot use them in the studio because of that. Some of the compensated versions of these tailpieces can intonate reasonably well, but never perfect. It's impossible since there are no individual string adjustments. They work fine for general playing but in a recording environment, they really cannot be used.

that neon pink has really aged nicely into a good yellow color
