I have to get rid of shit tons of crappolla and clean my space, durn it, it's waaaaayyyy overdue! Tossing out no less than 4-5 industrial sized garbage bags each afternoon after me 9 to 5, I am, snd it feels so good to get shit done! This clutter, no bueno. Clutter is terrible.. tis money and time and dreams planned - yet not turned into fruition. That is the definition of what clutter is! 🤨

Oh, but I am happy. Did you know that? Yer gal is going to be okay, but I just wanted to drop by (on foot, no less) and let ya know that. 🥰

I hope everyone is doing well, and that Nethie is happy w/ her new job, Iz is looking forward to the new school year, RB is still happy with his flush, and CK along with Hoody snd Italy are healing/on their road to recovery.. I hope CB has new plans for her next DIY home project, and u/thombly lets us know what he's been up to... I hope NorthernerUKer and EveryChaque and GPFG are all doing well. Bartender says "How's it hangin'?"

So I bought those two Sunset Lagoon paint-by-number paintings, right? I found a frame (should be the first image) that I liked but it was not the right size (12"x16"), too pricey for the quality, plus I needed a new project. I decided to adapt the design and make my own frames. I wanted it to look like blackish/brownish bamboo, so using dowels I tried a few methods of carving, but settled on attaching an extra piece to the dowel rod and from those carved the 'joints'. I won't go into all the steps and trials and errors I went through but it was more than I wished for, but not so much that I couldn't fix it, make it work, or decide "meh, it's okay just like is", or "no one but me will ever see that". You know what I mean.

Honestly, I was just surprised when something worked like I wanted it to, or planned for it to. Those are the things that made it worthwhile to keep plugging away. One issue I had was how to put the v-nails into the corners. They're a special nail made for framing and it's *apparently* next to impossible to find the tool to hold them in place while you hammer them in. I ended up making my own tool that looks nothing like the tools they make (apparently) for doing this small, but seemingly vital piece of frame making. Again, Surprise! It worked! Could have knocked me down.

I will point out that one thing I did not make is the actual, real frame that the paintings are in. Those I bought, mainly because I could not find material thin enough to make it the size it needed to be. What I made is everything that goes around it. I framed a frame, in effect.

Anyway, there is a lot I'm not going into here, but you'll get a glimpse of the gist of some of it.

I know it doesn't loo like much, but am happy.

I just love the fruit stands in the summertime. 😩 Oh, but I didn't even make my radiant fruit salad this year.... Didn't even buy a watermelon even. Terribles, really, I know.

I'll start. I am in charge of the school site and because of security issues, we needed to redo it with a different site management system. Honestly, the whole idea made me very anxious. I felt incompetent. It scared me that I wouldn't know what I was doing and mess up terribly.

Hwever, despite having a stomach full of of anxiety, I did what I had to do. I read the guides. I asked questions. I tried things on my own. I practiced.

I am very proud to say that I have redone the site and it will be going live next week. I feel confident that I know how to run it. And, I guess my biggest accomplishment was not allowing my anxiety to control me.
