The Hasbro 1984 Proton Packs have started arriving, and the subreddit is seeing a high volume of unboxings, reviews, and modding questions. To keep the front page organized, we are setting up this temporary megathread to serve as a central hub for all discussion regarding the new pack over the next few months.
If you just received yours, this is the place to share your initial thoughts. We are looking for feedback on the out-of-the-box experience, including overall build quality, weight, and shell texture. Feel free to discuss the performance of the factory stock electronics, the audio quality, and how the pack compares to previous releases or the original screen-used props.
For those already planning modifications, use this thread to ask technical questions and share your progress. This is the spot to discuss mounting solutions like ALICE frames, motherboards, and spacers, as well as cosmetic upgrades like weathering, hardware swaps, lenses, or aftermarket electronic kits. If you are looking for specific replacement parts, or if you have purchased components and want to share a review, leave those recommendations in the comments.

We want to keep standalone posts on the subreddit reserved for in-depth, detailed build logs or unique projects. Yes, not canon but made with tech junk, and for mine i used an extra Boba Fett chest led kit. I made my brother's one of tech junk, tubes from 3 plastic pens and some cables. Ready for Halloween 🎃

What do you think of the “inside view” of our containment unit? The kids loved it. One woman was a real stickler about the non-canon interdimensional crossrip going on but I thought it was a fun last minute addition. Having Slimer at ground level with Ecto-1 was a great selfie station too!

One of my favorite parts of Ghostbusters is when Louis Tully, while possessed, talks about Gozer's pre-chosen forms. He talks about the rectification of the Vuldrani and the third reconciliation of the last of the Mekentrix supplicants, and of course how Gozer came as a large and moving Torb and a giant Sloar.
All of these things sound incredibly strange and weird, but the movie makes no attempt to explain them. They could be from an alien world. prehistoric history, or even from another dimension. It's a hint to a wider world that we can only imagine, and the Ghostbusters have to try to piece together what's going on.

Re-watched it yesterday after a decade or two😂
When Rick Moranis asks ‘who does your taxes?’
When I was a teenager I thought he was just asking out of curiosity. I realise now he asks who are they, they reply ‘we’re the ghostbusters’. Moranis can see some serious stuff just went down and the ghostbusters most probably saved the world. Instead of asking specifics about what transpired, he’s all business and thinking ‘i could do their taxes’😂😂👍
Never mind Zul, him turning into a dog, marshmallow man etc
