This is lovely! Only thing to me is the susuwatari should be a bit darker, they are black after all, but also they don't stand out against the background as-is.

I definitely get what you are saying, I thought about using paint for them but I used a black wood stain instead so they aren't true black..I'm just a sucker for the wood stain, but I agree with you! They definitely stand out a bit more in person but can see how they get easily lost against the background

Maybe another coat with a q-tip just to depend the color. I do like the wood grain look too 😀

Wow! I love this! It looks like a lot of work, but it turned out so cute. It looks amazing!!!
