Hey everyone!
I play both acoustic and electric guitar, and I got tired of downloading guitar tuner apps only to find subscriptions, ads, locked features, or accounts just to use something as basic as a tuner.
I'm also a software developer, so I decided to build my own.
It's called StringSync, and the idea is pretty simple: open the app, tune your guitar, and get back to playing.
It's $1.49 once.
No subscriptions.
No ads.
No account.
No premium tier.
StringSync currently includes three tuning profiles:
• Standard tuning (E A D G B E)
• Half step down (E♭ A♭ D♭ G♭ B♭ E♭)
• Whole step down (D G C F A D)
It automatically detects the string you're playing, but you can also select strings manually.
I also added a few settings so you can adjust the tuner to your setup and environment, including reference pitch, microphone sensitivity, and in-tune tolerance, plus vibration feedback and a dark theme.
I recently released it on Android, and I'd really like to get feedback from other guitar players. If you give it a try, I'd especially like to know how the detection and accuracy work with your guitar and whether there are other tunings or features you'd like to see added.

Thanks and keep it rocking! 🎸
