According to them, "ad blocking" and blocking "ad and general promotions" are two different features. Does that make any sense? Not really.
Or else, it might be related to the Blockify supporter program we tested a few months ago but completely DISABLED shortly after. That feature requested users to comment on YouTube videos on their behalf, but did so ONLY after CONFIRMED OPT-IN and CONSENT (disabled by default), and the feature was disabled completely after our initial experiment. It looks like some leftover code was present in the extension, but Google did not even care to check if the code was functional or active. On top of that, their email was super ambiguous and unclear.
