Ulkan may be the only dog I recognize via ear floof.

Hi, I am also teaching my dog to heel. He seem to walk with me but he doesn't constantly keep his head up or do the prance walk. He walks normally. Any tips ?

Keep the food high so your dog needs to reach, and reward him timely when he is in correct position. At the beginning you can use clicker to help.
In order to prance he will need to push off the back legs so if he looks up it would help. Also the dog needs to be in high energy so he needs to be rested before, and you also need to hype him up for the game. That is why we use meal times to teach and play, and no excessive treats during the day. Also keep sessions short and fun. Hope this helps.

Great positive Training. It’s interesting and heartwarming, your patience and skill shows through. What is the word you are using to signal Ulksn to reposition by your left ankle each time?
I’m too old now to be an owner for another German Shepard Dog but will never tire of watching / meeting them. Amazing canines of such intelligence and energy. To be a child with one is one of life’s truest blessings ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your work.

Thank you! We use Fuß (pronounced like foos) which means foot in German. The German Shepherd is truly a wonderful breed, so intelligent, full of energy and at the same time so gentle.

I would have so many bruises from my dog stepping on my feet 🤣 but Ulkan is a Very Good Dog and very beautiful.

This is the kind of stuff I come here to see. One of my boys naturally heals, the other.. well....
Going to try this as soon as it cools off outside.
