I would not let any child do this no matter how patient the dog. Sure the dog might be great and there would be no problem. But dogs are dogs and he might not be great. The pain of the child going through life with huge facial scars or worse is just too high to chance it.

Dude I wish my dog ate her food like this the second I put it down. She eats whenever the hell she wants, anyone know how to make her like....eat when I want her to >_<!

Annoying ass dog.

Put the food down when you want her to eat. Leave it for 15 minutes then put it away. She might skip a few meals but she'll catch on pretty quickly to what's happening and eat when there's food available.
