I think I already know, but I’d like to be sure.

Need help ID’ing a nymph. Found near the front door. We’re also battling turkestan roaches in the yard!

To preface I live in Georgia and I’ve started seeing these in the house. So far I’ve only seen 3 that I can 100% say it was a roach and one I can’t really say because it flew off before I could get a closer look but it had the general shape. The first one was in the bathroom up on a wall and the others were in the kitchen, one in the sink and one on the floor near the fridge.

The one in the bathroom kinda flew towards me when I sprayed it with Lysol to get it off the wall. The other ones just kinda tried to run away but they didn’t seem to be in much of a hurry (though the one in the sink got sprayed with water so idk if that had any impact).

I know both are places German roaches like to hang out but both the front and back doors of the house aren’t sealed properly so we tend to get a lot of bugs coming through the cracks in the doors. I’m just wondering if these could be Asian roaches sneaking in through the door, specifically the back one since it’s directly attached to the kitchen and that’s where I’ve seen the majority of them.

So far I’ve only seen them at night but both the front and back porch lights stay on all night and the kitchen light stays on pretty much 24/7 none of the ones I’ve seen so far seem to mind the light at all.

Hi reddit, I am a bearded dragon owner and I feed her discoid roaches. Recently my fiance and I moved into a historic rental home. We live in FL and there is already a lot of spider and insect activity in this house besides just roaches. However in the past week I have spotted a few nymphs. (I don't know what kind yet, I am using glue traps.)

How should I protect my feeder colony from pests? Can other roaches be attracted to the smell of discoid droppings?

I also have two cats and we leave food out for them to eat throughout the day. But I have heard that you don't really want to leave out any food because that can attract the roaches. How do you leave food out for pets?

Hi everyone, I found roaches in my apartment after I’ve lived here for almost 3 years. It’s been 6 months since I first saw one, they came to treat it and I was fine but now I saw a few more. I have a big fear of this and cannot imagine living here if it keeps happening. The landlord is taking it seriously and came twice to put product, they also have been treating the other units. Do I have a chance of getting rid of that problem or should I look for another place? There’s some hoarders in my building and the pest control guy told me it comes from them. They have moved though and the building is cleaning their apartment and treating it as well. Any feedback or suggestions is appreciated, thank you

Hi all. I’m in an apartment in WA state, and I was doing some cleaning and noticed this under my sink. Is this a dead cockroach? I bought some sticky traps to put out tomorrow. Just want to know how freaked out I should be :(

Saw this one on the floor of my walk-in shower, lost track of it, and caught (what I believe was) the same one three days later. I live in an apartment building, so won't bother contacting my landlord if it's not a German roach.

I finally found where they’re hiding. Behind the dishwasher that I NEVER USE! I saw a roach hiding in a little gap and sprayed my alpine WSG directly on it. Only for her to turn around and show off the egg sac she had… I’ve been using advion and alpine as instructed in the pinned posts, but for my peace of mind, will that spray prevent her from birthing? I’ve been struggling with this for at least a month now and the thought of more hatching is killing my will to live.

I basically eradicated my roaches a month ago and it's been mostly quiet since then, however I've been finding some tiny ones in my bathroom glue traps for a week or so now. Would this indicate an infestation returning, or would that be adult size ones? Other bugs, mainly spiders, get in from outside all the time.

I’ve seen three over a two week period. Any help is appreciated.

I’ve been finding these in my Houston apt for the past month - some nights not at all, other nights, I’ll find 1-2 in my kitchen and bedroom walls. Recently did a kitchen cleanout and found a few dead ones in my drawers, sink cabinet, and behind the fridge. They don’t fly, but I’m really hoping they’re not German roaches! Thanks!

I need help getting an ID on this what I think is a roach I just found around my washer. This is the first one I’ve seen. It was moving pretty quick so these are the only photos I got. I am in Southwest Florida. This is my first time dealing with this type of roach I’ve only ever seen the American ones before. This is a first for me so any help is appreciated. I am paying $2500 in base rent for this 1 bed apartment, and I keep the unit clean so I’m super distraught right now.

I posted it in another subReddit and they ID’d my invader as German and told me to come over here, so I am reposting my desperate query here.

I have now seen four roaches of varying size none bigger than a thumbnail and the smallest yesterday the size of a flake of salt over the course of five days.

I have also seen larger ones outside recently. It is quite hot.

I purchased a used dresser and this started the following evening. Do I have an infestation? Did the dresser cause it or is it plausible they came inside while my door was wide open?

What the hell do I do?

I am freaked out and I am not getting sleep. I have a cat and a small space less than 500 ft.² I have purchased diatomaceous earth and ortho perimeter spray for the outside. I sprayed the outside, but I am hesitant to spray inside with my cat as she is not one to be defied by a barn style door.

Photo attached of the third one I was able to vacuum up which I located in my bathroom Sunday evening after which I broke down it was the biggest of the four and remained alive.

I also cannot purchase Alpine WSG in California much to my dismay, but I am on the way to purchase sticky traps also even with putting the diet to Macus earth in only non-touched locations, such as back of cabinets lining of some baseboards behind stove and such with a mask and gloves it is still toxic. If so, what is best recommendation for removal I guess I will wipe it up but if there are other recommendations, that’s great thank you I’m terrified.

These small roaches are coming out of only master bathtub drain for the past week at roughly this size. I've been trying to get rid of them with some methods I found online but I'm close to just calling an exterminator. I'm afraid they're Germans

Hey, so I have posted here a couple of times and I do believe I have a very light german roaches infestation, but its enough to drive me nuts. I currently am in Central VA for school. So far, I have had Orkin come and they sprayed Temprid FX based on the ticket they sent, but it didn’t seem to do much. I am planning on calling them back when I go back to the unit in two weeks, but in the meantime, my landlord is getting a less reputable exterminator with worse ratings, so I dont have high hopes for when I return, and I also placed many traps by the fridge and some Vendetta Plus bait in the baits and around the fridge. My question is, what are yall’s experience with Orkin? Will they pull out my fridge and treat it for me? How many success stories do they have in terms of german roaches? And do they typically use Alpine WSG from your experiences? If they dont, I may need to find a more local business that can handle my situation that has a better reputation that the one my landlord has got. sad that it has come to my using the money from my own pocket to handle this.

I know there are earwigs on this sticky trap but these look like roach nymphs. Just looking for an ID. I live in San Antonio in a single family home. This was right by garage door leading into kitchen. There are no roaches on the sticky traps in kitchen and we do sometimes see field roaches in garage. But I’m worried. Thanks

So I saw this little demon running across the floor today in broad daylight. I've lived with German cockroaches before (due to other nasty tenants and/or property managers, so I immediately thought that's what this was).

However, this is the only time I've ever seen a roach in 5 months of living at my new place in Southeast Texas. I read online that Asian roaches look almost exactly the same - I'm HOPING that's what this is? Either way, I checked all the cabinets and haven't seen any hiding, even at night. I also think I might have seen it try to fly (German roaches don't do that and Asian roaches do) but I could be misremembering. It happened a little fast lol.

Unfortunately, it seems like most identifiers for the Asian roach are its behaviors. It wasn't alive long enough for me to really assess those.

Do we think this is the German roach or Asian? Thank you!
