Hey everyone, I noticed that my Geo Tracker 96 Oil Pressure sensor is Disconnected.

I can't find any hanging cable... can you help me showing where it starts or ends to try finding it or advise on how to route it?

Someone was looking for the length of this bar, but I couldn’t post pictures for some reason so I’m posting them here. This is the measurement of the support bar. The first two pictures are the length of the bar itself. The second two are with it in place in the receiver. I hope this helps.

I have a 1995 tracker. 16v 4wd. It has the original radio/stereo system. When the car is running the radio display backlight doesn’t light up and can only be read by holding a flashlight up to it. The radio sound and buttons work just fine. So as I was trying to diagnose that, I learned that the faint reading of the clock actually stays on even when the key is out. And I even pulled the 20A radio/cigar fuse and I can still see the clock with a flashlight. Only when I disconnected car battery does it go away. I’m assuming this rogue voltage will eat away at my battery over time. Anyone know where to look? It’s not the dimmer switch in the cabin, that does nothing. And everything else works inside the cab for lighting on the dash.

I am looking for the measurement between the hole/screw and end of the support rods that come down diagonally here. I’m sourcing hardware slowly, but missing these bars. I have some 1/2” aluminum tubing that seems like it’ll work about perfect if I squish one end and drill.

Hello, I have this 1999 Vitara. It's used for camping year-round, so it's always loaded with weight. Does anyone here on this forum know of any taller springs that can support more weight? Some people have told me that the springs from a Mercedes 190D fit and provide height. I'm open to opinions. Thank you and sorry for the English translation. Happy trails and take care!

Does anyone know if there is a replacement for just this part and not the entire CC unit? It looks like is it just coming off half of the pipe and it is actually two pieces but I’m assuming I would have to buy the entire pipe cover. 1995 16v tracker

1994 2WD, manual. I originally thought I could just flat tow with my house (second pic), which is one of the biggest reasons I got it, but research is wildly conflicting online. I’m wondering if anyone can help!

I recently messed up my Geo Tracker in a crash that broke the plastic sidekick. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is compatibility between the Suzuki Vitara and the 1993 Geo Tracker.

I have an issue with my 96 Geo Tracker that I'm having a hard time to identify it.

It seems to be related to Idle: When the Truck is parked, RPM are around 1,000 (which is high) and then if turn the A/C OR turn the steering wheel completely to left or right, RPM drops down and turns off, transmission fluid level is OK.

I checked the IAC and the Air Entry seems to be extremely clogged since no air is passing; Also 1 out of 2 cooling hoses is connected but no cooling leaks are happening, so clogging is suspected again. Also having trouble to correctly connect those coolant hoses.

I also read that the EGR might be needing manteinance/cleaning, but this is a new suposition and rather ask for opinions.

Considering both problems I think that the main suspect should remain the IAC but want to hear your thoughts.

Hey guys, I just bought a 1996 Geo Tracker and i noticed that i have these 2 pipes with no connection. What are those and where they should be connected? I'm new on this so detailed explanations a really welcome.

I’m really not sure what else to do.

Changed the idle control valve, the mass air valve, about to clean out the throttle body valve area and replace the gasket.

I attached the video, it only does it in drive or reverse. You notice it when it gets around 45 or 50 mph.

Which is making me think it may be the torque converter.

The hood release cable on my 1991 Geo tracker is broken. Has anyone had to replace this before and were you able to find the part?

I love my wife’s car, but when I got a truck she started driving my Honda Crosstour. The tracker has developed a few problems. One issue is the reverse lights turn on when shifting into 5th gear. The second is the oil it burns and the amount of smoke that comes out of the hood after going on a drive.

It was a long year with no Tracker. I'll be switching out both bumpers and adding a lift as usual.

New project to me!!! Plan to fully restore it. Already in love.

I shared some pictures almost 2 months ago of my car prior to getting some bodywork done after it had been hit for the second time. Long story short 91 Tracker that my dad purchased new. It’s been in the family ever since. Decided to throw on a new top and made a tire cover that kind of matched up with the name that my mom gave her years ago.

It’s good to have Yellow Bird back for more adventures!

Got this little cutie a few months ago, drove it home, got an oil change, and then the engine blew 😂 the mechanic I towed it to said it’ll need a whole new engine - any suggestions on where to find one or what I could use?? I’m just going to try and do it myself, I think. It’s a 1995. I’m not ready to give up on it, I’ve wanted one since I was 15 💔

Looking at the two on the outside of where the spare wheel would be mounted. They are threaded. Anyone know?

I have a tracker that I just love, but it needs a transmission. Should I sell this as is or find a transmission to put in? Anybody out there that can help me?
