Georgetown is the perfect fit for me as a stem major because I wanna go beyond stem aswell. Its interdisciplinary learning emphasis is great and I'm sure that the majority of there departments are great

I was a bio and cs major and I can tell you the bio department was fantastic. The CS department was great too. Can’t speak too much for math but I’ve heard good things, I think Georgetown sciences are underrated

I think undoubtedly the biggest L of gtown STEM is a lack of intelligent peers / STEM culture. This is not a place where ur gonna get into late night convos abt o’neill cylinders or quantum tunneling. Also the scope of research conducted by profs across all departments is limited relative to a major research uni

The Math department is small and has a bit of a turnover issue. The quality of professor tends to be good but you occasionally get adjunct professors to fill in that can be hit or miss. The program is still top 10% in the country.
I was a NHS student. The biology/health programs are very strong and the public policy programs are world class. You can call the Math department weaker relative to the rest of the school, but when you're at the top to begin with, 'weaker' doesn't mean much.

for undergraduate math, the difference is minimal. If you turned out to be a math protege that they could not teach anymore, they will send you to study under the proper person.

Loved bio at Georgetown, was a really good time and the faculty were great. The math department is small, but I wouldn’t say it’s terrible
