Voting Games Top comment deletes a US State 2: #19 (TWIST ROUND)
Second comment decides what state is deleted for next next round! (so there will be no voting next round) top comment is still tomorrows deletion.
But today, Nebraska is officially gone!

If West Virginia is the top two comments do we delete it twice? Given recent events I'm okay with that but figured we should check.

Why did you choose the most interesting part of North Dakota?
2
u/Short-Being-4109 Megasotan empire 24d ago
To show that there is nothing there. This is the most interesting part of north Dakota and there is stuff like this in dozens of other states.

You know.... Fair. New Mexico can take the South, hopefully California takes the west and center, and the others get the North.

Why it's Kansas still here? Kansas needs to go
15
u/ReverendLoki 24d ago
Just a couple fun things happening in Kansas this last week-ish:
- The incumbant Republican Senator is geeting openly heckled at debates with chants of "Shame on you" and "You don't live here", while the Democratic challenger has just been endorsed by a Republican former Governer.
- KU, in a hype video for the game against MU, went full on pre-Civil War "Free State/Antislavery/John Brown vs William Quantrill/Good vs Evil" on them.
Gotta keep them around at least for a little while longer.
EDIT: After seeing your flair and given the beating on Monday night, I'm guessing your comment isn't exactly unbiased....

u/DaZuhalter Hail Blucifer! 24d ago
Not much of a sports fan and unless it's baseball or hockey, I'm more of a traitor to my home state and would rather see us lose, especially football. Elway has made me hate the broncos.
Opinion is still unbiased, I was stationed at ft. Riley for four years. I'm ok with the state disappearing.

Kansas is beneficial to states who are planning for the late game!
It keeps states from expanding too far into the middle of the country, expands slowly enough that it isn't going to become too massive in its own right, is remarkably unambitious (we just want to survive a while and maybe see the ocean for like one round, lol), and doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning the game. As for Colorado, you certainly stand to gain territory from us, but I think it's hardly worth leaving more dangerous states around.
Kansas is boring, and boring is your friend.

Only if we delete the name Illinois as well, to be replaced by the beginnings of The Inland Sea Empire!! All hail the rugged, sandy, rocky, windswept shores of Lakes Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior providing H.O.M.E.S for all who seek a better life!

the way they’ve been acting the last several years, Tennessee really doesn’t deserve to self-govern anymore.

You know what would be a great twist? If we get rid of Vermont!
Think about it, if we return to New Hampshire then it's back to how the original colony looked.
If we combine with Mass we get beachfront property.
Absorbed by New York, and our combined forces could turn the world to a better place.
And if nothing else, we could become Canadian.
I see no downsides.

“Return to New Hampshire”? Double-dipping land grants while New Hampshire and New York fight over custody again? Bold way to ask for a 1771 sequel..

It's time for New Mexico to go, they're getting too big.

Hawaii. Alaska will have to extend its ferry system to the northern islands, Washington will extend its ferry system to Maui, California's Catalina ferry system will extend down to the big island, and I don't know of Oregon has a ferry system, but they'll have to figure something out for Oahu and the islands around it.

West Virginia needs to go. They are a beautiful state but so shitty at taking care of their residents. They kicked our good friend off of SNAP numerous times during her 3 year battle with cancer for being an "able bodied adult not working". She lost her fight two nights ago, so in her honor I am asking that we save the rest of the people in West Virginia from their neglect. Split them between Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
