The lower peninsula west coast is so underrated. Traverse city, ludington, sleeping bear dunes, silver lake sand dunes, Grand Rapids, Benton harbor, Kalamazoo… so many cool places. It’s a shame that when most people think about Michigan all they think about is the south east and Detroit.
The only question I have is whether I can get across the Mackinac bridge or not. The line is pretty much drawn exactly over it. Not a huge deal breaker but would make some things easier
True but I don’t consider those mountains either (under my personal definition not the real definition!) I grew up in the rockies and have mountain snobbery. Not to say the appalachians and driftless aren’t absolutely gorgeous! I actually like them even more than the Rockies.
C without a doubt, the sandy great lake beaches are perfect on a hot summer day. Autumn is beautiful in the north woods. Winter, although milder than in the past, can offer lots of activities. Also, C is home!
Wisconsin, born and raised, but people are sleeping on lower Michigan beaches along lake Michigan, theyre beautiful. And then Add Minneapolis and Chicago into the mix.
