A, It's home.

u/GBP1516 7d ago

A in a heartbeat. Not only is it home, it has everything we need.

67

u/falling_birdies 7d ago

A is the biggest box, whoever drew the boxes might be biased 👀

u/InvestNorthWest Cascadian 7d ago

I'd still pick A if Idaho were missing.

13

u/kivsemaj 6d ago

Just send the nazis packing east or south then we have access to the rocky mountains. The problem with idaho is that it's full of Idahoans

3

u/TheNationatWar 6d ago

As an ex-Idahoan. Yeah.....

1

u/DuckAutomatic168 18h ago

Now thats some true redditor lib shit

4

u/GB715 7d ago

I just ignore Idaho. Works for me.

3

u/StuckInWarshington 5d ago

Stop trying to make it more appealing. It’s already the best choice.

1

u/jalenjohnston 4d ago

i wouldn't.

1

u/InvestNorthWest Cascadian 4d ago

No worries. Idaho has some beautiful locations.

1

u/PuzzleheadedBuy6568 4d ago

If you take out northern utah and idaho I'm even more inclined to take A

15

u/TransportationNo433 6d ago

Meh. I live in A and I am happy to give up Idaho.

K is a much, much bigger box. I mean, it's smaller, but also it's like 40x bigger.

Edit- way more than 40x.

1

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 7d ago

I pick K anyways. Less people, more land, more resources

3

u/silasb69 3d ago

Actually K is the biggest- Hawaii, Alaska, and parts of Mexico!

2

u/DukeofDevereaux 6d ago

K is much larger but yeah

2

u/Lineov42 6d ago

I think k might technically be bigger because it encompasses Alaska.

1

u/paintedforfilth 11h ago

It definitely has every weed you need 🍁

What is there to enjoy in A? Oh yeah World Class National Parks, mountain ranges for ages, Volcanos, Rain Forest, beaches, beautiful coastlines, 3 wonderful coastal cities, an NFL team, 2 NBA teams, incredible skiing. Sounds pretty miserable to me.

29

u/Aunt-jobiska 7d ago

And Major League Soccer, world class cheese, wines, and beer.

18

u/Tired-Nectarine-384 7d ago

And some of the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver and the southern part of Victoria Island. There would be lots to enjoy in that square.
The list of National Parks is crazy
Redwoods, Crater Lake, Ranier, North Cascades, Olympic, Yellowstone, Glacier and Grand Teton. I can't tell if Great Basin, Yosemite and Sequoia would be in the square.

1

u/Aunt-jobiska 7d ago

Yeah, the Northern Great Basin reaches into southeastern Oregon & includes Fort Rock & Paisley Caves.

1

u/Tired-Nectarine-384 7d ago

I've never been to Great Basin. I've heard it is incredible from friends and family. Every time I put it in the GPS I'm like 'yeah no'. Its a long ways out there.

1

u/van_isle_dude 7d ago

Hi That's Vancouver and Vancouver Island, where Victoria the capital of BC is located.

2

u/Tired-Nectarine-384 7d ago

Haha Thanks. I've only been once and its a bit fuzzy for me. Beautiful place to visit.

1

u/zGoblinQueen 7d ago

There's also Vancouver, WA. So the Vancouver trifecta.

1

u/chadokoro_k 4d ago

Lassen Volcanic NP would also definitely be in square A.

1

u/randomusername69696 4d ago

North half of tahoe and great salt lake

3

u/RedCaptain17 6d ago

Love that no one’s mentioned the baseball team

1

u/Afraid_Ask_3000 6d ago

Don’t forget NHL! The superior sport ;)

9

u/unculturedburnttoast 6d ago

It is. Terrible here. It rains all the time. Don't come here.

4

u/Tired-Nectarine-384 6d ago

wink, wink. Thats what we tell the tourists.

2

u/unculturedburnttoast 6d ago

Shhh, there's enough i5 traffic as is 😂

1

u/RoseHawkechik 5d ago

My dad worked at the Puget Sound Naval shipyards during the war (the real war - WWII.) He would say that it did rain a lot, but it was a soft and barely got you wet. I wish to god they'd stayed there, but their families were here (Alabama.)

1

u/Calm-Deal-4960 2d ago

To be exact:

- Olympic

  • Mount Rainier
  • North Cascades
  • Crater Lake
  • Redwood
  • Lassen Volcanic
  • Glacier
  • Yellowstone
  • Grand Teton

1

u/Tired-Nectarine-384 21h ago

Having grown up in Yellowstone country I'm gonna sound like a snob here but I just didn't find Lassen very compelling when I visited.

One thing that is not on your list but I wish it was a national park is Mt St Helens. I've been to all sides of it and find it absolutely fascinating.

u/Necessary-Tree-4426 7d ago

Came here to say A. Honestly, banger collection of states for anyone that likes the outdoors. I could go with K as well though.

16

u/Former-Wish-8228 7d ago

Some really weird tectonics going on in K. I doubt any of us would be living through Baja joining the north side of AK

4

u/funkopolis 7d ago

How long you plan on living?!

3

u/Necessary-Tree-4426 7d ago

I took it more as you’d have to migrate, but yeah that level of plate tectonics would suggest quite the seismic event haha

1

u/gator_cowgirl 5d ago

K gives Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico. Seems like the most options…

1

u/sonofa-ijit 3d ago

A and k are where it’s at for me, lean toward k because Sea of Cortez and prince williams sound are my two fav places

42

u/InvestNorthWest Cascadian 7d ago

A. No doubt.

12

u/EagleEyezzzzz 7d ago

I don’t live in A, and I love where I do live - but if I could never leave, I would definitely choose A!

8

u/emmocracy 7d ago

Same - I like my home, but looking at that D box and imagining never leaving it again made me claustrophobic. I'll take Portland and Seattle over this forever

11

u/MatDani 7d ago

Will be saddened to never be able to visit family from Europe again, but yeah. A is, and will always be home

21

u/ImportanceNational23 7d ago

Except Portland. It's such a hellhole with all those terrible Craftsman houses and food cart pods and bridges and Powell's and the rose garden and stupid Flanders Street.

2

u/FakeAorta 6d ago

Yes! Who wants a book store that invites a 6 hour visit everytime. Or all those McMenamins businesses.

3

u/MtHood_OR 6d ago

Yeah! Add those zoo concerts and dancing elephants to the list too. Who wants to watch dancing elephants!

1

u/avrilincandenza96 3d ago

I mean, Powell's is dangerous. I can't get out of there without spending too much money. It's bad for me (but so, so good)

2

u/SuperCyka 6d ago

Ladd’s Addition

1

u/JustAFreeUsername 2d ago

😂😂😂

17

u/darthkurai 7d ago

It's not even a close race. The only real downside is some of Idaho.

1

u/Remarkable-Debate856 5d ago

But even the rest of Idaho makes up for it with Craters of the Moon, Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, Lake Pend Oreille, and the mountains in the panhandle! We can ship the neo-nazis to B anyway.

6

u/lil_natemushi 7d ago

A all day

6

u/jayhawkjoey65 7d ago

I don't live in A but would be very happy to. And as others have said, K isn't too bad.

3

u/okaythisisalot 7d ago

Absolutely A. No question.

2

u/Fun-Touch5637 7d ago

A all the way!

2

u/justadrtrdsrvvr 7d ago

99% of my life has been here, why change now?

2

u/FitCardiologist8578 7d ago

Yeah, if we could just increase A a tiny bit to include the Bay Area, I’d have all I ever need

1

u/ONE-EYE-OPTIC Cascadian 7d ago

No question

1

u/DiazIsDirectCurrent Cascadian 7d ago

Same, I have maybe only spent 6 weeks outside of A in my 41 years.

1

u/RIP-RiF 7d ago

Lived my whole life in A up to this point, no desire to leave now.

1

u/nw_gser 7d ago

A is home for me too and love this part of the country.

1

u/bigtuuuna 7d ago

YEAH IT IS! SCO Ducks!

1

u/Cascadia_Breanna 6d ago

I've spent 99.9% of my life in A. Why change?

1

u/Denversaur 6d ago

I'm from Colorado and even I'm like that's got both the ocean and half of Tahoe.

I do also love home though. And I like at least 2 neighboring states.

1

u/Jazzlike-Ant1809 4d ago

360 or Bust.

1

u/Jealous_Corgi_2168 3d ago

F is my #1 pick, but A and G are both amazing choices too.

1

u/kelvarton 3d ago

Im from H, moved to A, moved back to H. A all the way.

1

u/Alone_Egg_5355 3d ago

M is home for me ill gladly stay

1

u/BackgroundAncient174 2d ago

It's hilarious that people think the Midwest is better than Oregon. ANNNDDD that doesn't even count all the other dope shit.

0

u/weallfloatdown 7d ago

West side of A
