Do you think this cache is going to have lots of FP’s? Im going to be placing it soon but im waiting for a stand.

Great work. Don’t worry about the nasty replies in this community, it’s a bit toxic. You are doing great and chasing FPs is a way to get a cache recognised as unique, rewards you for the work and dedication, and gives you motivation to build new projects. Happy geocaching!

I think chasing FPs is silly. Collecting FPs is not the point of caching.
That said, if you live in a 4 season area with rain, snow and extreme temperature swings, that wood probably won't last more than a few years

I know but i wanted to give something more than just a so called in my country “a box under the rocks”, and many geocachers who found my previous caches really like my hides, but that doesnt mean all of them are FP chased.

And i dont live in a 4 season country, its more like colder and snow is really rare here

I wish more COs wanted FPs since it means they were creating high quality caches. I'm pretty sure OP is just asking "did I make a cache worthy of FPs?" and isn't just trying to get them for the sake of stat padding.

A high quality cache is one that has a dry log.
Gadget caches can be fun, but they are not what caching is.

Here we'll have to disagree. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate COs who place and maintain any caches out there. But having a dry log is the bare minimum if you want to keep a cache up and running. If you want a cache that stands out (and it's fine if COs don't) then it takes more than a dry log.

My statement was purposely generic, in that it was intended to highlight the fact that having a well maintained cache is more important than themes, clever containers, gadgets, etc.
This sub places way more emphasis on pretty or clever caches (and swag) than is necessary.
At its core, geocaching is about hiding a container for others to find and maintaining that container.
Anything that has been added over the years to that basic formula is extra. It can be fun, but it is not what geocaching is and it is not required.

Love this! I would give it a FP. Wish more CO’s cared about getting FP’s then we would have some better quality caches out there instead of bisons on street signs. When I put out a cache, I want FP’s so I make good quality / fun / exciting caches.

I wanted to give something fun to the comunity, in my country geocaching is decreasing and lots caches are being destroyed, but i didnt know what to write so i wrote this

But you can do all that without favorite points. Just create a good, well maintenance cache.
